Tip for everyone, co-witnessing doesn’t give you any benefit because you’re still blocking the bottom portion of your sight view so it’s essentially canceling out the red dot, you’re not supposed to co-witness your sights, the red dot is it’s own sight and it’s meant to be centered with no obstruction and you’ll get the best results that way, if you co-witness your sights you’re doing it wrong and wasting your money, just use irons then, i hope this helps anyone confused on zeroing in their red dots.

  2. That’s why you go for a lower 1/3 co-witness minimal obstruction to the window and you have back up irons if something happens to your red dot. The more yknow newbie 🌈

  3. In most self defense situations you shouldn’t be relying on your sights anyway. With proper training, making head shots, on the move, at ranges out to 25 yards is disturbingly easy. Where sights/red dots come into play is when dealing with a hostage or active shooter situation.
