I found a really good bonelab nvg nod, you can see around the edges and the goggles a have a slight zoom, not sure if that's realistic or not.
you can't change the brightness or toggle illuminators but it feels very immersive
coming back to this video after using the NVG Agent avatar for bonelab makes me kinda happy as the avatar has probably some of the most realistic interpretations of nvg's in vr yet.

It would be cool to have a game implement the auto brightness control or bright source protection that modern NVG’s have as well. These are the features that keep bright lights from blinding the user, as well as the feature that causes NVG’s to momentarily dim the overall image during gunfire because of the muzzle flash.
