Noctua Chromax Black NH-D15 install with an LGA 1700 Core i9-12900K

Hello, this is the Provoked Prawn and this is a video on the Noctua Chromax Black NH-D15 CPU cooler. Here I’m installing the CPU tower cooler with an LGA 1700 socket on the Asus ROG MAXIMUS Z690 FORMULA motherboard with an Intel Core i9-12900K CPU. This is with a Fractal Design Torrent case (

Here I’m showing you what’s included with the cooler, how to install it, benchmark tests I got and more.

Note, benchmark testing was done with Cinebench R23, which is much more intensive than most other things you’d be doing. It runs hot, but I had the same issue with the Core i9-12900K in previous setups and if you Google you’ll find it’s a common thing.

Lowlights:
It’s massive and hides my fancy motherboard 🙁
