Orion, a Hyperledger Lab: A Centralized Trust Blockchain Database

Orion is a standard database with the blockchain properties that provides tamper-evidence, provenance, data lineage authenticity, non-repudiation, and multi-sig capabilities with standard data model and transactional APIs. In our talk we will give an overview of the technology, explain its benefits and applicability to different domains and demonstrate some of its features. More about the Orion Lab is at:

About the Speakers:
Dany Moshkovich is a manager of Blockchain Technology Platforms at IBM Research – Haifa, responsible for the development of trust solutions for business eco-systems. He holds a B.Sc. from the Electrical Engineering faculty of the Technion — Israel Institute of Technology and MBA from the Open University of Israel. Dany is experienced in research and development of solutions and tools for different domains using a wide range of technologies including AI and Blockchain. He has co-authored 10 technical publications, and 17 US patents.

Yoav Tock is a research staff member at IBM Research – Haifa, where he is working in the areas of blockchain technologies and distributed systems. He is a significant contributor to Hyperledger Fabric. He holds a B.Sc. (cum laude), M.Sc., and Ph.D. from the Electrical Engineering faculty of the Technion — Israel Institute of Technology, from1994, 1999, and 2003, respectively. He has co-authored over 30 technical publications, has 12 US patents issued and many more pending.
