Just seen on the O & O website that they are partners with Microsoft…makes me think twice to even install the software, tbh.
There is no way to stop windows spying. Just switch to a SystemD-less linux distro or one of the BSDs, preferrably OpenBSD or FreeBSD. Screw everything else.

I have dug through google results for years to disable all of these settings myself. Nice to know there's simple tools out there for it.

Rename update orchestrator service and boom no more updates and windows reverting to default. Only way to stop updates!!!
Use third party firewall software. Simple wall is so effective and Microsoft doesn't have control over it

I don't really trust this app, for a few reasons
-The program is not open source
-O&O Software GmbH is an MS Partner
-As well as "proud" NATO supplier.
All this may mean nothing, but they seem to me the worst candidates to protect my PC privacy, for obvious factors of principle, they are tied with entities that have the opposite purpose.

So, I used O&O, disabled a few less things than you and uhhh: Windows settings dont open, file transfer is slow, steam wont open, taskmanager wont open.
It'd be great if you'd be willing to export your config file. I'm tried following your setup by looking at all the settings in your videos–I'm sure I missed some, but even then, WireShark is noisy as heck!
I was running Malwarbytes firewall control and was blown away by how many windows processes where phoneing home

O&O Software is a German company with an impressive resume. They are a Microsoft Partner. They supply software to EU and NATO entities. What does that mean for this product? I have no idea.

i don't trust windows ,and most of the users here don't trust windows also ,then why do you think that we should trust these two tools ? huu?
I really wish linux had more game support. Its so much better having an open software option. Its free, you can be a part of it, and theyre not targeting you as a study. But windows is so big, every game studio focuses on windows only. Theres hardly anything that runs on linux.

Why should I trust some 3rd party software. It turns off MS telemetry and switch on it's own. 🙂 The best way to turn off telemetry is to use windows commands, register, services and so on …
Welp, NEEVA didnt last long. Bought out by "SNOWFLAKE" a BIG DATA MINING corp, clearly in bed with World Economic Forum and all the DEI & ESG bullsh*t. Even the best companies & founders, starting up with the most altruistic of values, cannot resist the big buyout, nor can they resist the threats of ruin if they dont take the offer. It is an evil world people. They DO NOT WANT YOU TO LEAVE THE MATRIX, and it shows.
I've been using SpyBot Antibeacon and it's turned off 532 telemetry spyware used by Windows (W10). I was referred to it from a friend I game with, who worked for M$ for 15 years. He said I wouldn't believe how much spyware Microsoft has installed on your system. They spy on everything you do. He also said if you don't know what you're looking for, you'll never find it. That's the reason him and his brother quit working for them. They didn't want to take part in creating apps for MS just to spy on people. He also said it will remove all telemetry that other apps use to spy on you. It will search for many other applications installed in Windows that spy on you and detect if it's installed or not and there were several that weren't found installed. Lucky for me, I guess. It does an online search and system search every time you start Windows from a shut down. Takes only a few seconds then, closes. I also have other s/w install to aid in keeping my system safe. I trust it when many others don't and I've yet to have any maleware/trojans or, the like, installed or, infect my PC.
Rather than take 800 steps to tweak and manipulate Windows, I would rather take 800 steps towards learning Linux.

I will say this. Log collection is very useful if you know where and what to look at and how to utilize the info and the search/filters. If you use your system as a server or NAS of sorts and have ever realized your system is offline. The logs can be very helpful in figuring out why that happened. If a power failure, update, or system crash occurred. The logs will usually state such things along with pertinent info as to what caused the issue.
It may not solve your problems, but it can definitely help make it easier and quicker to do so. Especially if you want to avoid any foolish errands!
