In the 80s a third of top 100 billionaires were Japanese. Today the richest are Uniqlo or Softbank bosses ranked about 30-50 in the world and a few more Japanese in the top 100. Like Germany, Japan is a financial satellite of the US military industrial complex. BlackRock is the biggest stakeholder of many banks including Deutsche Bank. SMBC may be big but who are the real bosses, Japanese or Americans? Would they be allowed to expand and invest overseas in US controlled countries without permission from their masters? More realistically they have to act in collusion under orders.
