Im disappointed as C and D tier is empty, like seriously your tiering gets kind of pointless, like charged blade being a beast, but like the highest skill ceiling and absolutely not beginner friendly, in my opinion just the opposite of an S-tier. The horn being another one of those undeserved S-tier, its one of the most complicated weapon and as a bonk weapon you really need to stay in the face of the monsters, which is not at all beginner friendly. Or if we're talking about end-game pro godlike hunter DPS, horn still has nothing to do in S-tier, but the bow should be. Please, it doesnt matter if something someone loves, or even you love to play it end up below Z-tier, just state the criteria of the tiering.
LS is S tier btw and most weapons in the game can interrupt players.

As someone that started playing the game last month. The glaive instantly drew me in. Finished the game with it and now on to finishing Iceborn with it.
I like to use the Insect Glaive because of it’s mobility, I think the flipping and the flying is cool and I don’t find the extracts at all troublesome
SnS feels so awkward in World, what with that weird draw attack and floaty swings. Luckily, Rise salvaged the weapon.

What do you mean you dont get where the term weebblade is coming from? Spirit Helm Breaker is the most anime thing ever with the monster taking that delayed damage and NOT as the slice goes through it LOL
The dual swords are way more weeb than the longsword, you do a ninja run in demon mode and the levi attack 😂

Insect Glaive is S tier for me. Best mobility weapon in the game plus the kinsects.
You really almost had me with the lance praise, but still put it in B. It will always be S tier to me.

I kinda disagree with the Charge Blade and „all the things you need to do before dmg“ mentality.
Its tbh one of the fastest weapons to get one of your highest dmg outputs out there. Charging shield and phials is so incredibly easy and fast so i dont know where this sentiment comes from.

As a Lance main, I am greatly disappointed by the placement of me and my cousin's weapon(gunlance) placement. The lance can have a very high skill ceiling if you play Evade Lance-style. PLUS COUNTER GUARD!!!!!

Hey man, great video! I gotta say the community is right on the bow. As a GS main who recently restarted the game using bow, im willing to to lay down for the bow and say the bow is literally the polar opposite of GS. Instead one big number you do many, many numbers. Instead of being locked in place youre quite agile. The damage you can put out is insane. And you CAN cut off tails. Yes i said it… ive made it my goal ever since i learned i could do it. Gearing is not complicated either just match element weaknesses on bow. The rotations, like GS, are fairly basic; and like GS and most weapons, in depth monster and game knowledge will be needed. Combined the bow is a very satisfying and devastating weapon
Definitive tier list but putting the LS in A tier despite being S tier on polls ain't ironic. Fifty minutes but explained poorly. Bro you keep repeating what are you saying and mostly subjective basis. It would be better if you write a script first and review to see if it fits neatly. Personally the S tier weapons for me are the high ceilings ones because the more you play the weapon, the more you feel like you're getting better. Gunlance being in same tier really weird to see as well, majority I see gunlance one tier above Lance.

So I'm a GS user, used to be bow but Alatreon killed that for me. But I think there is actually ONE weapon better than all others. Gunlance. You can 1 shot/ 2 shot monsters with this. And this technique has been in the game since the snowman was introduced. Just no one knew about it.
I think we all have own tier list but without a doubt SnS Perfect Rush quite OP at certain point. I love CB and cant get away with it becoz i got used with Guard Point. I learn hard on monster behavior but im not at those super high lvl CB users who able to use Axe mode guard point at certain timing. Im just casual player with certain time to play and responsibilities.

Okay, someone needs to address the obvious: How in the world did gunlance get to C-tier as the weapon with the best dps in the game?!
Of course I am talking about the wyrmstake exploit, it is for a fact the best way to use this weapon.
I hate it when people just use S, A and B tier "because all the weapons are good".
Every weapon type in the game is viable, everyone knows that. However, there are huge discrepancies in the maximum dps a weapon can do and this is what a definitive tierlist should indicate.
Also, people getting upset about some random on the internet putting their favorite weapon as a D-tier are just stupid. My favorite weapon is the longsword but I know that it is a B-tier weapon at best. Do I still love it? Absolutely! I even know that lance is a D-tier weapon and I am still currently trying to master it.
Whether a weapon is easy or hard to master should not affect its standing on this tierlist either in my opinion. For this purpose, just do a separate beginner tier list.

I remember my days as an LS main but I went back to my roots as a GS player Cause LS didn't exist in MHFU lol Now it's more like I'll grab it for comfy or I'll just use HBG because I get to ignore anything the monster does

Dont downplay the HBG. It's a no brainer that its the best weapon type in the game even with all the "nerfs" it's recieved over the years. Not only is it's damage uncontested it gives access to KO and wvery other status ailment and can also deal elemental damage. On top of that it can provide a bit of support by buffing teammates with demon and armor ammo. On top of that, not only can it equip a shield that makes fights trivial, but it can equip attachments that increase its dps or utility as well. Making it all-round the king of Monster Hunter.
The LBG is close behind it as it can do everything the HBG can but has smaller clip sizes. However, it makes up for this by having rapid fire ammo which increases the ammo efficiency of every round substantially. With rapid fire elemental ammo they can easily decimate any monster in the game.

I love the fact that I've been classified as a Giga Chad not once, but twice, because i main both Lance and Hunting Horn.

B stands for skill issue
It's been awhile since I last played, but as someone who ended up trying lance and loving it one of the most important things to remember about it is that it has insanely high uptime. Once you learn the timings of the boss' attacks you almost never have to stop attacking. Just keep stabbing and when they try to attack you just counter through it and go back to stabbing. This also makes it amazing at applying status effects.
Hell you can even counter through monster roars really becoming an unstoppable force.
In my opinion THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A BAD WEAPON all the weapons in mhw are unique in their own way I tried every weapon and loved every single one of them unique and strong and stylish
