THIS NEW COMBO IS SICK! Leyline Cascade (Leyline of the Guildpact / Scion of Draco Rhinos- Legacy)

I play a Magic: the Gathering Online Legacy league with a deck you might expect to see in a Modern video: Leyline Cascade. While this deck can still use Violent Outburst and Shardless Agent to cascade into Crashing Footfalls to make some rhino tokens, it now also has a plan to use Leyline of…

Your manabase NEEDS Tundra. Island cycling into an untapped white source is so important for Leyline Binding.
I’ve never played modern before, so I apologize if this is an obvious question. Is there an argument to be made to leave in some number of crashing footfalls after bringing in the sideboard Inevitable Betrayals against certain matchups?
Against decks with low interaction there wouldn’t be much of a point because either they assemble lethal first or you do. But against slower, more controlling decks like in round 4, it seems like having more than 2 cascade payoffs could potentially pay dividends in the mid to long game. After all, in game 3 your opponent went -1 each time to counter your cascade payoffs until you had none left.
What are your thoughts?
4/4 is not good in turn 1 you can do better
you can play it for 0 wastes count as basic land
Could you not theoretically cast scion on turn 1 with ancient tomb if you open with leyline?
Imagine throwing a scion of draco at your opponent with a broadside bombardiers
32:20 technically its correct to split the targets between yourself and your opponent to play around misdirection and commandeer. love the content!
Do we ever queue a version of this with inevitable betrayal in the main?
What about Daze, as leyline enables returning an Island as well, and you're a tempo deck as well?
Cool deck!
Does anyone know why this guy impulsively goes "sure" or "sure that's fine" when he literally has no possible legal play to influence anything the opponent is doing? Is it like a nervous tick or something? Genuinely asking
39:32 couldn’t you have iced the tap lands, or even the agent and gotten the draw basically for free with the same line you took?
Well, this consider only WUBRG basic lands isn't there (technically) six basic land types? What about Wastes? I know this is a colourless land, but it's still basic land type. Or is it considered "not having a land type Wastes?
1:05 You can cast Scion with out Leyline on turn 2. The reason Scion is busted is because of the all colors on all permanents.
Sure the all land types are great, but I would say its less important, but show me a deck with leyline with out Scion and I will concede the point
Draco & Leyline is like Goku & Vegeta fusion into Gogeta.
AAAAA throw scion with bombadiers AAAAA
Full playset of Wastelands in an ostensibly 4-color deck is the wildest thing I've seen in a WHILE.
its such a weird feeling that i thought this was modern til I saw force will…..
The Inevitable betrayal thing is super cool, but not if you only have 2. Arguably, the strongest thing about this deck is that it can just do its thing over and over, but with only 2 copies, you lose that strength.
Leyline of the Guildpact is such a BUSTED card. I legit expect it to catch a ban in modern.
51:00 Cycle Lorien Revealed for Savannah only works on paper, but not on magic online
Turn the iso down on your camera. The light might be better, but it's blowing the camera out currently
@55:52 So. Mean. #lol
The "all nonland permanents are all colors" is also rather important, otherwise Scion would only be a 'Vanilla' 4/4 Flyer
Sideboard Grindstone against this deck 😅
I think this deck would benefit from a Tundra so you can get untapped white mana off the Lorian Revealed islandcycling
3:42 "I'm not exactly how sure this is going to be." was really funny to me for some reason xD
the deck is nice, it needs an island that taps for white so you can laurion into binding.
leyline of sanctity
leyline of the void
leyline of the guildpact
Leyline of Lifeforce

Scion of draco
I think ancient tomb is worth for turn two broad or 3 leylines, but up for debate
heavy white/red land focus (dbl lands) for guaranteed frag or binding early (to recover if mull goes bad)
I think leylines might be too heavy maybe shave a few for something I'm missing (force of will to pitch late game guildpacts would require more blue maybe ditch kavu?, any evoke (definitely in sideboard)
relies on mulling to find leylines, upside is
1-leyline of guidpact + any other leyline + white land + frag (broadside) – 2 dmg (6 if additional leylines)
2- land + scion (16 dmg)
https://youtu.be/oKfubOW9POA?t=1868 Wouldn't countering the Spell pierce here put two rhinos in and let you swing through the Murktide? It seems like it's the same end result if they have another counter as what you played, but wins you next turn regardless.
I enjoyed the new lighting!
46:30 I think the keep may have been better as two cascaders, leyline, and two mana sources here. Fights against thoughtseize – if they take either your leyline or agent its over.
I'm curious is Ring of Xathrid is worth thinking about for this deck to protect the Scion
A thought occurs. Scion of Draco is CMC 12. Broadside???
