  1. Thank you for showcasing my work in your excellent video Dan! – humbling to watch.

To answer a point, yes LMU car specific data is now here also, released yesterday 😅🥳

    Happy Racing everybody! 🏁

  2. Best thing about the control mapper is that you switch the wheel without even leaving the car. Most games have a controller config file of sort, but for the most part the game reads this just on start up.
One thing I cannot get my head around is how to deal with the clutch paddles. If you use HidHide the game will not see those either, or am I missing something? I am currently evaluating the VJoy option and got this working for the most part – but even here the clutches give me a head ache. I hope somebody has a tip or two.
    Cheers.

  3. It is actually possible to keep a button pressed with the "default" state, but you can't use it in combination with another condition. I just wrote a feature request in the simhub discord for "long press default". fingers crossed it will get implemented.

  4. also if you dont want to use simhub for whatever reason you can just create your mapping in iracing and then save the controls.cfg file in the iracing directory, this is how i do it. Then you can switch them out depending on what wheel you are using. It only works for iracing though

  5. I just built the Pokornyi Engineering HYP-R last night and was annoyed by how I wasn't going to be able to swap with my Moza GS wheel anymore without rebinding every single control in iRacing each time. Perfect timing to release this video, this solution looks perfect. Thank you!

  6. Great video!! I'm definitely giving the Simhub Control Remapper a try since I'd like to use more than one wheel and I haven't done so because of having to remap buttons. DNR's LED profiles are the best. I just got my Turn Racing TDU5 and it was the recommended LED profile. I've been so impressed with it, knowing how much work it takes to create a profile for just one controller and one car. Glad is he's getting some recognition here.

  7. SImhub remapper is a life saver when having sequential, h-pattern, and wheel paddle shifters, not having to remap each time for different cars in game is a blessing.

  8. Some advice regarding control mapper:
Use only functional namings and assign the functions in game though the phone app. This makes switching between games easier.
I found that name buttons or rotatries like funky up or down as controls makes no sense because you can assign the control in game directly.
Named function in control mapper kan also be tied to simulate keyboard presses.
For example cursor up down left right and enter or space can be setup as roles in the output mapping and tied to simulated keypresses in the controls and events section of simhub.
This makes it easy to set up a funky switch to simulate the cursor keys and keep the functionality of the keyboards cursor keys on the keyboard too.
The special function key is very usefull as it almost doubles the amount of control inputs on any wheel or controller.
It's very usefull to hide certain car functions like for example pit limiter you don't want to accidentally press: Pit limiter only activates when two buttons are pressed at the same time!
(And Dan using that special function key to be able to shift up and down using one paddle can be very usefull in certain situations. I have my special function key as the top left button and it makes it easy to use my left shifter paddle for an upshift. The other hand is freed up to fiddle with other controls or hold a drink.)

  9. Thanks Dan, the control mapper is very interesting! I didn't even know it yet.
I think the control mapper is worthwhile even if you only have one steering wheel. The simple mapping for the stream deck alone is worth it.
I have ordered the arduino and will test it.
Does anyone know if there is a way to assign the two led's of the rocker switches from the Cube Controls F-Core to a function in Simhub?
It has no native compatibility in simhub. But I would like to use the two led's for "car right, car left".
    Thanks guys.

  10. Nice !
Currently I use Joystick Gremlin for remapping, and more important, making pedals output curves, as I have fanatec pedals which don't have that feature in the official software.

Way less user friendly, but it works.

  11. I always loved the iRacing functionality to map any button combination you want. I see you can achieve the same with SimHub Control Remapper but **everywhere**, in any sim. Thanks Dan! Now, I'm just waiting for Arduino to ship… This is really really useful.

  12. I’ve been using my set up lately for Forza motorsport. Can I map navigational buttons from the game somehow onto my wheel? I have a GT Neo that I love, but I’m having to use an Xbox controller to navigate menus which is not ideal. do you think I could use this map navigation buttons to the wheel?

  13. Thank you 😊 for me this is a game changer. My wife always wants to use a different wheel but I have to change every time the controls profile. Thanks🎉

  14. Thank you so much Dan. I searched multiple times to have different Wheel profiles in iracing. All the answers ever found were "Save controls by car" (which of course does not help if you want to change the hardware-wheel but drive the same car). ♥
