I’m going to do both have vmware on win to do quick tests and if I want to run bare metal I do it on then second drive separately I have a license to run vmware on Linux but I think native kernel build virtualization is better. I have a media player at home that runs sum android version and only plays well with ext4 and connecting a external device true vmware and putting media on it is slow compression/ de compression runs better natively and bare metal behaves differently for sure if learning is the goal. And I need win for my work and school going back to school at 47 haha so learning is the main goal
