  1. Them purposely giving me gluten when you explained your allergic which meant your food was almost a hour late because they messed up 3 times so managers comped your order but the server sent out a customer to tell you that you never paid 🫠🫠🫠. My fiance and his best friend got big mad at them!

  2. I was out with some coworkers for burgers. Nothing special to celebrate, we just had a really long night and so after we closed we went next door to this bar/burger place that was open a little longer than our coffee shop.
A couple of my coworkers got beers and I was getting a ride home from a neighbor so I ordered my drink and the waitress looked at me like she stepped in dog shit. She kinda flustered and walked away and I thought maybe she needed a pen to bring our orders to the bartender? Nope. She brings me by a water and I said, “Oh? Did you not hear my drink order?” And she rolled her eyes and said, “I don’t serve liquor to minors” and I kinda laughed and pulled my ID out of my pocket. I’m 22, so I get that I’m a bit younger than some of my coworkers but also I’m Canadian and have been drinking since I was 18 (legal age in Canada is 19) she snatched it out of my hand and tried to rip it (failed) and held her phone flashlight up to it.

One of my male coworkers is in his late 30s and looks like a big teddy bear, but he snatched the ID back and asked her what her problem was. She scoffs and says something about how I must be his daughter and I just think it’s “cool” to drink with adults. He lies to her and says he’s my manager and he had to get all my paperwork to hire me, he’s seen my birth certificate and knows I’m actually 22. She rolls her eyes and goes, “Well her drinks are going on YOUR tab.”

I was putting my ID away when she said it and so I said, “I’m perfectly capable of paying for my own drink, but instead I’d like to see your manager.” And she mumbled something about me being a “baby Karen” before walking off.

20mins later and still no drinks, another person from the kitchen brought out our food but I still can’t seem to track down our waitress anywhere. *finally* she appears with a manager with a smug look on her face.

He asks to see my ID. I show it to him and he goes, “Then what’s the problem?” After we explained our side of the story, and I explained that I freaking work basically next door at the coffee shop. I pointed to where she tried to bend/tear my ID and told him I just wanted to relax with my coworkers. He explained that according to our server, I attempted to BRIBE her to not look at my ID and that I was inappropriately touching one of the men at my table. (I was not, I’m engaged and wasn’t even sitting next to a man) I was so caught off guard all I could do was wave my arms around.

The manager apologized and gave me my food and our table’s appetizers for free. I told him I understood that she thought I was lying about my age but she should’ve gotten him (the manager) involved at that point instead of making up an elaborate lie in order to not serve me.

We were standing up to leave and the waitress came by to clear off the table and she said, “I’m sorry. To be honest I was worried if I served you alcohol and one of your coworkers were the one driving you home then you might get *taken advantage of* and I couldn’t live with myself.” I just picked up her tip (not left by me but one of the men felt bad since we were a table of 6) and put it in my pocket and walked away. I gave it to him the next morning at work and we told some more coworkers about her. One of my actual managers said they caught her in her car smoking weed on the clock once.

    We don’t eat there anymore.
