Some people can't help being in a child like state due to mental health reasons that are serious.
So that's why Marketplace has a lot of weird real looking babies.
What worries me is that what if people will get soo used to seeing this super realistic dolls, that at some point they either will loose the sense of real babies and how to deal with them (responsibility wise) or even worse what if you will see someone is packing this doll into a suit case, and it turns out it was REAL baby? Or what if someone will see you with this doll and will treat it like a doll: not being careful, throwing, hitting, forgetting to feed and etc. And again it turns out to be real baby.
this is breaking my brain maybe this is a coping mechanism but it seems unhealthy instead of giving that love and attention to kids around them in their community or extended family and making a real human connection, this energy is going to a material dead end of delusion. It's very sad and folks who invest into this life style need help. It's one thing to have a collection and admire artwork and another to make these things into pets.

I don't want a child but I love babies so whenever I get a chance to spend time with my nieces or my family friends' babies I'm up for it to just cuddle them and play with them and make goofy faces to make them laugh. In the end of the day, I am happy they back home with their parents because I don't want the responsibility. However, since I don't want babies I am not desperate for one, so I guess I don't completely get these women…but dude…there's so much to do in life…like chill with the make believe babies. Imo, it's just unhealthy. You got to activate your brain with something productive and worthwhile. These fantasies that adults are playing out is literally not healthy for their minds. It becomes a habit, it becomes part of their lifestyle, and then they do not live those parts of their lives or do things that should be done that eventually get them to the path they want to be on. Imagine being single and having a Reborn and explaining that to your date…It's not going to help you be an adult to achieve that aspect of your life…I just don't see how this is good for people…By the time they are ready to have a baby or are having one what about their finances? Like, the amount of money they are spending on this ridiculously and unnecessarily…They're just creating problems where there aren't any and problems that are going to cause stress in their life that needn't be there if they just stop distracting themselves with unhealthy lifestyles.
They are works of art ! Lets see you make them. Its not hurting you . People who have them are happy . If you dont like them dont look! Just because you make a video talking about how you dont like them it wont make them go away! Reborn life like dolls have been her for many years!! Get over it❤

I was on Amazon purchasing my toddler a doll and saw a bunch of these realistic creepy looking dolls and I was like what the heck, what for? And now I understand… sometimes I’m glad I live in a bubble
problem? u can grow up but still hold on to the things u grew up with. dont agree with u, i have my room filled with video games and plushies. go cry about it. it makes me happy. also i dont see how this is reallt harming anyone at all

Something like 15 years ago I sold an old baby doll on Ebay and it got bought, done up as a reborn doll, and re-sold. I looked this up ages ago, there are a few old documentaries about it, it's still strange.

All I have to say is ANXIETY I'm 10 and I have a reborn and she is AMAZING she calms me down so so much. She is 3 pounds 3.5oz and 14'' Her name is Penelope she is the Blessing Awake by Marita Winters kit you can see her on my channel/ community page but sometimes reborn are used for: Reborn dolls are also beneficial for people who have lost a child. Reborns can provide a sense of comfort and connection and by holding and caring for a reborn doll, can be a way for them to feel like they are still able to nurture and care for their child, even though they are no longer physically present.
Please, do not condemn them. Imagine what will happen if these people decide to reproduce and raise a real child! God, I wish all those "parents" of "no gender" or "trans" children had taken this way instead. Find a toy substitute to voting and convince those people to turn to it instead of the real thing and 90% of current western society problems.
I actually love the look of reborn babies but they are outrageously expensive. With that said I would never actually take it out so it would be a dust collector…. I just miss my kids being tiny, cute, and cuddly.

How did the doll wife and Doll have a child? What they have a pillow?
Do they still force girls in school to take care of fake babies, feed them, change diapers and so on and this is recorded by a device in the doll to report in the school? If you don't want to stimulate adults to go back to childhood, it is not a good idea to theach teenagers to take care of babies by force. Isn't it so?

Normally, I pretty much agree with most of what you say, but I don’t agree as strongly on this one. Growing up my dad always had childlike hobbies, but he was still a super masculine breadwinner X army veteran. I think we can still have whatever hobbies and likes that we want as long as we’re living a productive life, like what do I care if a grown woman wants to carry a doll around
