  1. i was installing this 3d new router that has like horns on them (company says its for fast wireless internet) anyhow things are going so well, we tested everything including the speed and the chance of it failing was slim to none not atleast until this one spider alien co worker named janeth decided to split us into 4th dimension and make my buddy joel goes roaming around into the emptiness of the abyss, So, while my co worker janeth is having so much laugh, im here stuck at this wifi horn thing and now it moves suddenly, Thanks janeth, anyway, Im thinking im about to start to leave this company once and for all after this issue is resolved.

  2. You really helped me to understand the fundamentals. The video offers a great overview of a domain and how things work on cloud and on-premises. From there, I can better visualise what I need to create a virtual domain for my homelab. Thank you so much.

  3. Hi John,

Thank you for the response about your course on Udemy, for Windows Server Administration.

I have a few important questions before I decide whether I want to buy (watch) that course.

As you know, in 2024 and moving forward, many IT professionals say that it is not enough just to know the Traditional Server Administration tasks. Even though I must admit that as a New person to IT, I find even the those kinds of "Traditional" on-premises skills to be quite quite challenging to learn, and then to somehow master or practice

But the complication nowadays and moving forward is that in order to become a marketable ("Expert") system administrator, one has to also know a lot of other things about Azure, and Cloud Engineering for Hybrid environment management. In essence, Windos Server Administrators now have to be able to not only know a ton of stuff about on-premises, but also the Cloud.

So I wanted to know if your Udemy course actually walks the student from beginning to end (and moves them into this modern Azure and AWS types of training or not ? )

Of course we also need to know a lot of Network and Systems Administration fundamentals as well (all that Network +008) stuff… because as you well know, in an enterprise they are running VMs like Vmware ESXI hypervisor or Microsoft Hyper-V, to virtualize their servers. And these VMs rely on a lot of networking fundamentals, so its almost next to impossible to get into Server administration and later Hybrid Cloud Engineering type stuff without a solid Network and Systems Administration types of fundamentals.

So I am wondering how does your Server administration course handle these challenges as far as teaching and showing hands-on examples so we can understand these important concepts and have the job skills for a modern enterprise level Sys-Admin role.

It is all extremely daunting and very overwhelming how much we have to know…but I am doing my best to make myself as ready as practical.

Thank you if you can provide some details about how well that Server Administrator course of yours on Udemy prepares us for the 2024 and beyond hybrid cloud administration skills also.

  4. Just stumbled upon this as I was looking to learn more about active directory for some sys admin roles. Im about an hour in and I have learned so much. The diagrams and brief history really help. I Look forward to continuing the poweshell section tomorrow and what comes next, again great teaching skills 🎉.
