Wolverine is one of my favorites
Patiently waiting for the unstoppable JUGGERNAUT video ππππ (I need to hear the voice clips in there)
Xmen mutant apocalypse had a small cameo in this vid but I think it would it been accurate to elaborate on that game. It was the clear that this was the origin of his overall style and even some of his specials we would see in the fighting games.
oh shit got real with this
Very rich informations. Such as mentioning composers and other capcom songs. Most of videos just analyses the Characters moves. Well done π₯
What a wonderful video! I really appreciate you taking the time to talk about the composers for the character themes and how they reflect the personality of the fighters. Really enjoyed watching this!
You should include the competitive history behind each character too for each game.
I love your videos, but you have made me realize how bad I am at these games. I've been playing for over 20 years and there's so much stuff I've never even heard of. π I guess it's because on instinct I try to play them like Smash Bros.
Soon as I saw the notification I knew you wouldn't disappoint
And you didn't
The Deep might be the most underrated fighting game track in existence. Absolute masterpiece.
Gotta love that look Ryu has of "oh you got one of those too?" When Jubilee appears
"'ive fought in more wars than you can count" Cap…really… Look who you talkin too.
The Fatal Claw super is him dragging his adamantium claws against themselves to generate a spark (look at his taunt). I think you can find small examples in the comics but, you can really see it in the opening to the 90's cartoon towards the end: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAkL2-vh2Sk
You can also see his claws generate sparks when they hit hard objects in some of the Fox movies. If I had to guess, it has to due with adamantium being a vibranium alloy. Captain America's shield generated sparks when it was scratched by Black Panther (Civil War) and creates a shockwave when hit by Thor's hammer (Avengers 1, 2 and Endgame).
8:37 The Dinobots from the Transformers franchise were once buried in tar at The Savage Lands!!!
7:55 Technically, it was the New Warriors fault for the event!!!
7:59 Wolverine was really angry that day!!!
3:27 Ben Grimm and the Black Widow were there too!!!
1:07 We know it's Wolverine!!!!
I know why Wolverine Music sounds like Power Rangers because if you think about it one of the company's who helped made The Power Ragers Shows had helped Capcom out in this game I think that company name is called Saber something like that.
My favorite Themes in X Men Childeren of the Atom are Omega Red theme and Psylocke theme and when it comes to Marvel Super Heroes my favorite Themes in that game are Wolverine,Spider Man,Dr.Doom,Phylocke,Captain America and Jurggernaut.
Dude learning about Isao Abe and pretty much having all of my favorite tracks from all the games mentioned blew my mind. This guy really never missed!
His COTA theme is so alept on
Children of the atom and mavel superheroes still are the best feeling games in the series. As a wolverine main in all of these games it's certainly noticable.
Just stumbled upon this channel and this is some good shit man!
Wolverine 's stages in COTA and MSH are my favorites.
38:04 when you brought up Jamie from megas xlr I was like yes my childhood
Would it be possible to talk about Cole macgraph from street fighter x tekken in the future?
This was awesome! Can't wait for more!
Imo Wolverine is the poster child of the VS series, right next to Ryu. Its why they are always side by side in a shit ton of posters and promos(except for MVCI but who cares about that trash lmao). Wolverine at the time was probably the second to first most iconic super hero, and ryu was(and very likely still is) the most iconic main character in any fighting game ever.
Seeing Ryu in the MVC3 trailers get his ass handed by wolverine and then in the final trailer when he was reaching out for Ken, Wolverine ended accepting his hand and ends up saving him as well as Cap his was pure magic and had so much emotional impact and investment for a simple trailer where no one even talked that outclasses most of the MCU. Good times man
I remember him for being voiced by Steve Blum in the animated series
Wolverines marvel vs Capcom 1 theme is undoubtedly my favorite Wolverine theme and I'm glad it came back and was remixed in ultimate marvel vs Capcom 3 it just captures a vibe for that's Just so iconic for Wolverine while also in my opinion still having the sad, sorrow but also tough and gruff duality to his character. the person that composed it did a excellent job I love it!! also great video π!!!!
The more I learn about the old comics, the more I realize how much the devs were just huge fans of the source material. And man, the ending graphics for CotM and Marvel Super Heroes are just gorgeous!
Also, thank you for highlighting the composers, as well! Despite their games containing some of the most iconic music in the medium, I feel like Capcom's composers don't really get the spotlight they deserve. Also, just so you know, I physically bristled when the Wily Capsule 7 theme started playing LOL
In marvel super heroes, why does the announcer SOMETIMES tell "INFINITY!"
It doesn't always do the shout.
Thank you for doing such a fantastic job on our boy logan! I was so happy to find that many of my favorite composers for Mega Man X (and other Capcom classics) have the same composer!! Much of the music had a very distinctive feel to it that I couldn't shake away but absolutely love!β€
I know wolverine, you know wolverine; even my mom knows wolverine! And I'm not offended by that!π
Damn, I didn't know Wolverine and Morrigan fucked in MvC3.
4:22 so a case of the devil fruits I see
2:28 ha I see Paris I see France I see wolverineβs underpants
I had a feeling if mvc2 was made today doop would be in the roster
Come on bub you are about to get cut
Happy Anniversary to the first Capcom made Marvel fighting game. Even though X-Men: Children of the Atom feels weird for me to play (compared to the later games), I have the utmost appreciation for it since it gave us one of the most beloved crossover series in history.
Same sentiments for Wolvie. One of my favorite X-Men in comics, shows and movies but fighting him is something I dread. Which is lore accurate, now that I think about it.
Whatβs the name of the background music that starts at 0:19?
I always knew Wolverine was going to be featured. He is the one character players like to pick the most. He is insane with all the combos we do with the ol' canucklehead. And on a fan's note, his theme from MSHvsSF is my most favorite. So mellow and so awesome at the same time, almost like using it for a promo on Toonami. As as far as voices goes, I like both Cal Dodd and Steve Blum as Wolvie. They brought the type of attitude and aggressive nature to the character, no matter what game we play or what show we watch. In short, whether in animation or in gaming, Wolverine is the one go to character we pick, whatever game we play. Never forget that, bub! Well done. π
I remember being SO bummed that he wasn't in MvCI.
Btw, you think you'll cover Frank West at some point?
Also…what the heck was the reason his UMVC3 ending changed like that? π Like…what kind of strip club interaction was THAT?! The first one made way more sense for both characters, and was written better, to boot.

In every game from Capcom every X-men member would cross their arms in some way when they did their supers.
