"Road car chassis" like we all daily drive $2million+ full carbon fibre monocoque, pushrod suspension street cars to work every day… LMAO!!! And the comments section is filled with brainless sheep quoting this verbatim like it's the only reason the car is slower. Great car and amazing lap though.

Actually the Porsche record is capped by the max speed of 370km/hr on the straight. If the Lotus can beat that it is in with a chance, as well as faster hybrid acceleration out of corners. Be amazing to break the 5 minute barrier but that will take a special kind of driver.

Because there's no vibrations. The entering of corners looks like a knife b through butter. And that smooth exit just just shows how nice it is to drive.

Geeze, that was terrifying! I'd much rather watch James lapping the Nurburgring in an Aston DB10. It's not how fast you get there but how you get there.
This is a prototype ev which was made for the track its not a production car, the navera is and so are other cars which still to this date have not beat the navera time at all, but in saying that would love to the McMurtry Spierling do the nuremberg, that would best it for sure. Love to see that, someone please do it, its would be all over the world really. 👍🦘👌✌

This video scares me it's so fast.
Annoying road noise & it is painful to watch. Races aren’t only 7 minutes long @ 1 lap, they are 24 hours long @ 162 laps & while it may have the quickest lap time, by having to charge for a 30 min pit stop after 30 mins of driving, the car would only complete half of the race & lose anyway.

kind of lame that this lap was over a minute from the 919 EVO (5m19s) and the Porsche 956 did 6m11s in race conditions in 1983 with a manually operated gearbox (Stefan Bellof). Makes this 6m24s look pathetic. Why bother failing this bad and showing it?

How the drivers of these cars manage to hit the right braking points and drive at maximum speed in the bends will forever remain a mystery to me. I was a passenger in a GT2 RS MR some time ago, and there was traffic and the driver was certainly way off the limit, and that was almost too fast for me, but the speed in the video was insane. When you then think that the 919 EVO was even a minute faster, you can't understand the world any more.
