  1. Your advice is so on point. I see it all the time at my LBS, the hobby rider spending €10-12k on the latest top end road bike when there are real gems (your list is perfect) available below €1k!!! As an MTBer I have just bought a Klein Quantum Pro Q for €800 to get me back into road riding this spring and I'm not broke!

  2. What is your opinion on Pinarello Dogma 65.1 Think2? It was the bike that Froome and Wiggins were riding winning back to back TDF back in the day. I found one from a local guy here for 1200 bucks with Sram Force 10 speed and Mavic Ksyrium. The white bits have become quite yellowish though. Is it a good idea or should I look for something else? I live in Cyprus and here the second hand bike market is very small with very limited options.

  3. Finally someone doing real talk! I have the chance to buy a Trek Madone 5.5 2010 for 1000€, is that a fair deal? The bike is in really good shape and rides so sweet. I am glad I listened to your video and not all those Instagramers riding 3000-4000€ road bikes…

  4. Hello. I own Cervelo S5 2012 and I have one problem that occurs when I am going downhill and when I get in a lee of a truck, my handlebar starts to shake and I am losing control. Can you help me, what can be reason for that problem? Why is that happening and did it ever happened to you? Thank you.

  5. Epic vid 👏👏 I have a old Scott Addict/Dura-Ace it's Super light near new 👌 Was going to buy a new bike this year but they are all a rip off !! Keeping my old bike but what about tyres can you get 26 on these ya think? Robbo

  6. Glad you mentioned the Cervélo R Series….I have an 11 year old Cervélo R5, the limited edition VWD version, rim brakes, cable gears. Supremely nimble bike. Weighs 8kg with pedals, water bottle, lights and garmin. I paid £2500.00 GBP for it back then with a part exchange deal, the current 2023 model is between £8000-£11000 GBP! Bonkers money.

  7. Harley is right again, i remember about 10 years ago when i thought a 10 thousand dollar bike was an insane amount of money for a bike and now they’re closer to 20 thousand! That’s twice as much as I paid for my Kawasaki Z650 out the door.
I have a 2018 Roubaix comp with upgrades, 2015 ALLEZ Pro model and a 2014 Sirrus hybrid. Together they cost a little over 10 thousand dollars which is reasonable I guess but now it’s so ridiculous that it’s funny, people actually pay that much for something without a motor.

  8. I totally agree with you about bike ripoffs …especially the ebike boom going on right now…i suspect some great deals will be available in a few years once it becomes so competitive that prices will NEED to come down if they want a market share worth talking about at all!!! not everyone has 5-6k to spend on a bike…not even 2500$. im going to build my own with a 99 schwinn i got new in 99 before they started selling out to big box stores…and with the high performance conversion kit and battery i will spend under $1400…for something that will easily out perform some $5000 bikes hands down. NO crazy low speed restrictions like a max 35km/hr top speed. i dont mean to want to hit 120kmh but i think 60-65kmh is a fun speed for at least a bit of adrenaline otherwise why electrify at all right? good video bro…keep on fighting all these ripoff companies!!!! they dont need to rip people off to stay afloat…thats BS!

  9. How come you never mention Campagnolo? “If you know you know” and you must not know that Campagnolo mechanical Super record 11 is the finest and most ergonomic / comfortable group set around! And lightest too & looks amazing too in Carbon fiber!and it’s Better than dura ace! And I probably have ridden dura ace as much as you starting with DA 7400 then Da7700 etc

I hate how much index finger shifting and hand sweeping you have to do shifting dura ace ! Where is Campagnaro allows you to use your thumb for half the shifting, and can slam three gears at once. It simply nicer, lighter, more ergonomic & better and its heritage is in bicycle racing not fishing reels Crap

  10. Durian rider you should collaborate with the Indian mech Eng on the structural impact of disc brakes on frame design. I feel that disc brakes call for forces to be transmitted through the rear triangle such that this area of the frame will be significantly heavier rather a rim brake bike where the forces are transmitted more directly to the rear tyre. Same story for the front brakes. Aero bikes ie aero tubing etc – what BS is that. The rider’s positioning on the bike will have 10x more the aero effect than aero tubes, the frontal area of the rider is so much greater than the frontal area of the frame tubing. 😮
