“BikeRadar”
It’s that time of the year again – as we name our 2023 Bike of the Year winners! First up is endurance road bikes, a category that includes our overall winner.
What we’ve been looking for is a bike that’ll see you through the toughest long days in the saddle, but not be boring or bland….

Which of these bikes would be your winner?
@bikeradar I have been watching a lot of videos with Warren Rossiter testing the bikes.Someone knows his height in order to have a reference of the size and position of the testing bikes. I think it may be helpful. Thanks in advance!
Vitus carbon frames are too flexy
The Trek SLR bikes are not a good comparison to these bikes. The similar bike will be the SL bike. The SLR frames are specced higher and the weight is usually 1-250 grams lighter.
Months later, still the only real review of the Vitus on YouTube. Can you please return it so someone else can review? 😉
Thanks , liked and subbed .
@bikeradar – for the Vitus Evo, can you add spacers? While the bike looks brilliant, it’s reach and stack suggest it’s more Aero than endurance and/or gravel.
Thanks for the through review. Super informative!
Id go for a cube agree if i was going for an endurance bike..at around 3 grand..
Time ADHX
Giant Defy Advanced for me,just ordered one
Domane is best
Rubbish camera work.
I find the BikeRadar reviews to be very informative and entertaining, but wonder how they come up with the top 3. In the past, the Giant Defy came out as the endurance bike of the year. They seem to rotate brands…is this due to $ from the bike companies? Are the bikes included in 2023 due to larger tire clearances? The Vitus sounds like a nice bike, but when I looked at the geometries, they come closer to race bikes…pretty close in stack/reach to the Supersix Evo. So no matter how compliant the frame may be, if I am reaching down or out extensively, after a 5+ hour ride my neck & back will be challenged.
The quick steering on the Vitus is mentioned a few times, this seems completely at odds with the slack head angle.. you can't really have both at the same time.
One issue the bike review industry hasn’t addressed properly is sizing. With so many mail order-only brands, which includes Vitus in the UK, buying a bike means gambling on it being the correct fit and being prepared to return it unused if it isn’t. That’s a headache. Reviewers should spend more time on this, ideally showing people of differing heights, body shapes etc. sitting on the bikes so that viewers can get a clearer impression. It’s like watching car reviewers say “this sedan has great passenger headroom!” without saying how tall they are. I’m aware that stack, reach etc. figures are given but to most people they are meaningless, particularly since bike geometry varies across brands. Warren – please take control of the entire industry and solve this!
Real gravel/enduro needs to be running 38mm tires… I live in Vietnam and would not go any smaller.. Makes the ride great and you can still get a bit of speed whilst taking the bumps of rough roads.
Ventum NS1 “road bike” with 35c clearance,
Vitus has very attractive prices for their bikes.
I don't get 'short" saddles. Everybody wants to move around a little bit depending on what they are dong. WTF?
I still can’t get over the price of bikes these days. It is like we have been brain washed into accepting £3500 is a normal price!!!
In estonian langue Vitus mean in the pu..y
The type of bikes most of us should be riding…..personally, I like the Look 765 Optimum, after having a few Synapse and Domane.
You can’t actually buy the Vitus as tested here (2×12 with Carbon rims on road tyres). Why review a bike that consumers can’t purchase.
Look 765 Optimum is the one I want
When Dave Arthur and BikeRadar praises Vitus at the same time (only 3 hour difference), it’s not a coincidence. -it’s a paid ad
If it’s top three of only three tested it’s not really a top three is it. You need to test all endurance bikes and explain why these trump others, otherwise it’s just a sponsored video to sell three bikes.
The cable routing on the Cervelo is fugly.
Cervelo 😍
Surprised not to see the Canyon Endurace…
The problem is that you cannot buy the Vitus as it’s specced here. Alu clinchers even on top model …
Love your shirt!!! Just seen them last week as a matter of fact… they played the whole "MY WAR" album. Great show!
YAWNNnnnnnnn
Like the Vitus and the Merida.. any recommendations on which would be better for tall big boned rider. 190cm
I dont see any mention of mounts. So these are pure endurance, not for bikepacking I guess.
So it seems your partly being charged for the name with the recognised brands.
With the right tyres (40mm) can these bikes be used for gravel or mild off road stuff ?
Top reviews, as always. I now want a Vitus.
Vitus Venon looks like an absolutely fantastic quiver killer, but it appears getting one to Canada will be near impossible.
Just a pity the vitus only reviewed with carbon rims, sells with alloy rims, unless you go 1x ;(
Trek domane SL6 alllllllllll dayyyyyyy
The bike industry is so fucked up. Now the covid wave of interest is dying the Chinese/Taiwan brands will undercut the greedy bois.
