3 words to save yourself future headaches: VGA over ethernet. Just get one set for debugging. You need to see where its crashing on the octas without the display… if that doesn't suit you, write a squashfs injector to give vnc to hive in initramfs you can see boot and panic screens. You can add vnc as a boot module and rebuild with Dracut and keep the script around so it sticks across updates. Saved me a ton of pain. I prefer to keep my hiveos images on a server and netboot them so i can sit down to debug with a keyboard attached for emergency shell.
