  1. A lot of advice in this video is outdated or inaccurate. Itโ€™s almost as if this was recorded in 2020โ€ฆ
Donโ€™t buy an intel cpu for mining. They are not profitable.
Use server power supplies instead of desktop atx.
Donโ€™t buy cheap risers from Amazon. Parallelminer and gpurisers have been reliable stores for a long time for everything you would possibly need.
Donโ€™t buy mining specific cards that have zero resale value.

The electricity usage advice was on point just dont buy any of this stuff from a decade ago.

  2. i have 2 houses with free electricity, been mining like a maniac for 4 years stright now. This month im planning to add more gpus while they`re still cheap. Nobody knows what next halving will bring to POW coins so better to be prepared.

  3. much better off with an rx580 or an rx5700xt . . . . . . you can triple mine etc, zil and gram – hardly anyone is talking about this triple combo. also your new rig should be am4 so you can put in a nice cpu and get cpu mining AT THE SAME TIME. all our rigs have the cpu on SOMETHING eg ghostrider on zergpool – payout in bnb anybody NOT cpu mining on their gpu mining rig(s) is a really silly berk. my top tip for a starter rig is am4 board with b450 chipset – ryzen 3600 , dual ram and two rx5700xts. install minerstat linux get the gpus in R mode – dual mine zil and etc on k1pool – and slip in the gram mining on top. then you can run xmrig on the cpu and mine randomx on unmineable and get paid out in bnb or whatever . all ryzen 3600s can get over 7000 randomx hashes easily. when you have learned on the starter rig THEN you can go nuts and spend a fortune. your gpu recommendation is off imo – rx580 much better. also rtx2080ti is a monster on certain algos it can mine more gram than an entire rig of rx580s

  4. some considerations:
The title of this video is correct, but with those recomendations there will be no return even on a heavy Alt. Season bullrun.. it will take years to recover the invested money.
1 – waterblock add extra cost and add the risk of leak and pump failure, consumes more power than a regular heatsink: makes no sense in mining – no miner uses watercooling.
2 – RAM: at least 8gb (the price diference is too small compared to a 4gb one)
3 – If cpui mining isn't a possibility, better get a celeron (or a newer AMD processor, like A3000), they use much less power and generate much less heat, a small stock cooler can handle them, avoid water cooler.
4 – one AMD 6600xt can do what 3 CMP 30hx at the same price and lower energy… CMP30hx makes no sense in my opion. GPU performance can be check on https://www.hashrate.no/gpus
5 – power advices, specially regarding the eletric circut cauntions, are great!

  5. I really liked the video. Let's try to strike a conversation on building a private dual cpu/GPU system that can mine and train LLM systems (something I am also interested in).

  6. Are really people making a living off of mining and how long does it take to actually start seeing results of making money? I don't know a thing about mining or crypto ๐Ÿค”

  7. Bru ffs man really? U put a graphic card u cant fking find to buy the [MSI NVIDIA CMP 30HX MINER] for 2024. U serious? This is what you recommend as a gpu u cant find?

  8. i did not start ,i think i am late to start mining, but i loved the experience, from you simplicity in explaining,
please tell us more about what is the currency which we can start mining these days

  9. This is what I did.. turned on old case on it's side with side panels off, placed on a end table. Used an on HP motherboard with a Core 2 Quad and 4 PCIe ports. Bought a PCIe splitter card, Cheap server PSU and breakout board. Used an old laptop hard drive and installed HiveOS. Started combing FB marketplace for cheap 5700XTs… I'm in at $260 on those. Also using RX48/580's but the original purpose was to heat my place this winter. GPUs are standing upright with my air purifier blowing from the bottom upwards.

  10. actually if u are going to cpu mine u will need more ram the more the better especially if using xmrig and randomx algorithm i got 2 16gb sticks of corsair vengeance ddr4 ram 2666 and im getting 3.7 kh for a intel i5 10400f
