  1. Welcome back Fox ! Based on the comments – what are best fireball extinguishers ? I have the metal shelves, smart power strips, cameras, intake and exhaust to keep the miner area at 85F or below, and all power component running at 80% or less, but no auto-extinguishers.

  2. This is my vibe right now, too. Just got back from a mini vacation (drove to watch the eclipse). Just let a few rigs sit there and chug away at some ALPH while I was gone, but I haven't jumped on any of these new coins yet. None of the Kaspa forks. Nothing. But, there are going to be some big moves ahead, for sure. And what's this I'm hearing about Hive shit the bed or something? That's unfortunate timing. One company's loss is another's gain, I suppose. If you look at it from the perspective of these other little mining software companies, you know they know this is their time to shine. Let's see what they can do. Onward and upward!

  3. I usually keep my stuff running but since we have pets someone is always coming over to check on them when we leave anyway. I usually just try to set everything up so it’s running cool and well under load

  4. 24/7 is option only for people whose environment is designed for it, including fire safety and such. All others should just shutdown the miners when leave house (or go to sleep) because sometimes those miners just fail and catch fire. If you plan your mining so that even fire can not do extensive damage, then you are in right track.

  5. I'm basically away of my appartment all day long so imagine if i had to turn off all my rigs, i would never be mining lol
I imagine you are working at home 🤔
Just don't overload your server PSUs, breakout boards and PCIE connectors and you will be fine 😅

  6. I have WiFi breakers and WiFi smoke detector. 3-4 cameras around as well. So if any working comes in can shut down miners remotely and also power reset them if need it in case they won’t restart from web gui. Will go over my set up in incoming videos. But open rigs always scary only running octominers

  7. I had mine turn on for 10 days straight in 2 octominers and 2 pc cases for cpu mining. I am not there most of the time and it’s been going fine. I did have a cooling fan burn out that was not part of the rigs. It smelled terrible and luckily may have happened when I got there to check. Burnt motor. I monitor through hiveos most times. I had my asics turned on for a year with no problems.
