  1. I have been hoping that something like this would be possible! It will give my tiny 2 GPU rig a chance to participate in Flux POUW. Like you, I did not want to replace my Hive setup with FluxOS or anything like that!

  2. This is interesting. I wonder how much 'useful' work would come from the average GPU mining rig. We all know storage, ram, CPU are often 'bare minimum' to support mining on GPU's only.

  3. Very cool, think pure mining rigs though are going to get very poor benchmarks because of the pcie lanes, storage and the low ram. Just saying an 8 X 3070 all in 1 x pcie with 8gb of ram will probably be low on benchmark as well as priority. Still could happen. Could see a shortage on everything but gpus this time around, if it is very profitable.

  4. Great video! You have to remember not all rigs will do well with POUW, you need minimum 8x pcie lanes going to a card. I believe the octominers are all x1. Mining flux with 6 2080tis for about 89-92 sols @ 190-200w each for two years now! going to order a threadripper or 32core epyc for POUW!

  5. POUW is pretty trash. GPU mining is pretty dead to be honest. When you can buy an Antminer L3+ used for like $75 that mines $4 a day why would anyone mine with GPU's

  6. Fantastic! I echo your thoughts on my trials with FLux-Core. Having to let the Flux-Core software install everything along with the NVIDIA controller on Linux machines was a turn-off as I like to manage those things and versioning. The thing I also noticed and I suppose this will also be taking place on HIVEOS are the performance measurements. I experienced regularly re-occurring durations where the machine would seem unavailable. Now this might be worked out as that was the alpha version, but I have since removed the FLux-Core from the very machine I pieced together for using it. I didn't know about the HIVEOS integration plan before this video, super appreciative of you hunting this down! Great job my friend!
