The new algorithm is bad. firstly, it is hot and simply destroys memory. Secondly, huge consumption, which does not correspond to profits. Who needs such an algorithm if the profit has dropped three times and with such a temperature.
Mixed feelings on this. The devs really haven't given any reason for any price appreciation, so a new algo does nothing before or after, except it costs miners more money to make less money. MEWC at least became more efficient. Moving forward, miners will bounce between any ETH projects, along with FLUX when price point makes sense.

It doesn’t even remotely look profitable to me so far, but I’m going to give it a day or two to settle out and see before I make a decision to keep my rigs on it or not.
I wonder if increased block time have anything to do with decreased profits.. swapping back away from iron.

I feel like I'm making less on my 3080 with this new algorithm. Herominers show that it's only 30 cents a day. It was making a buck a day on the old algorithm.
