So you are telling us that IFD did in fact leave explosive fuses lying around in public areas, which any desperate hungry lay person might reasonably mistake for a discarded food tin. And after all those videos of IDF soldiers posted of themselves smashing shops, graves, demolishing schools, you think we should assume this is just a lethal accident, and not at all on purpose……
Compared to all the IDF lies we've seen so far, I don't even worry about this one much.
Imo this doesn't make the IDF look good in this instance. Even if not deliberate as the propaganda suggests, to me it seems at best sloppy and at worst extremely reckless to leave cans full of old explosive detonators around in areas that might have civilians, especially when there are known food shortages and the cans do kinda look like old food cans.

(combat engineer here) Israel uses the M15 mines for demolitions, and to intentionally activate the explosive they place a charge in the space where the ignition system sits (thereby discarding the actual ignition system like we can see in the video). These ignition systems come separate to the mines and are therefore discarded since the Israeli military has no use actual anti tank mines.
Think about this . Princess Diana was campaigning to get the use of land mines eradicated. Producers of this billion dollar land mine industry are Israelis . . Just a thought 💭

I speak Arabic and I watched the original video. The guy was not saying “these are booby trapped food cans” but instead was warning people not to mistake them for food cans as they contain explosives.
He was just warning civilians not to try to open the cans if they came across them.
