We’re on the hunt for gold! In this video, we search above ground, down in the mines, and the wash in search of gold at Cerro Gordo. I was joined by @Danhurd and @mbmmllc as we scoured the land for the precious metal, following some tips from some old newspapers!

Side note for you, When these microscopic spores from the dried bat guano are inhaled by humans they can cause a serious respiratory disease called histoplasmosis*. Sometimes, we disturb the dirt (cleaning up the garden, sweeping out the empty building, or doing other seemingly harmless dirty work), causing the spores to become airborne. So suggest wearing a mask.

Just a thought but if it was popular enough to write about at the 86 then maybe since it was so easily accessible that spot got cleaned out, while somewhere lower maybe under that spot on the 86 just lower, there still gold because it wouldn't be so easily reachable especially after the mine closed. Not everyone has a team to lower them like you managed to get together 😉😊❤
It makes you wonder since they were mainly getting silver, I wonder how much gold was pocketed and taken out by workers since it wouldn't really be noticed if they worked together they vould make it sort of dissappear like it wasn't much
