  1. Why don't they go protest at the sight of the mine instead of blocking the Pan? American highway ruining their tourism. The canadian company is probably mining the crap out of their country at the same time that they're blocking the highway.

  2. The movement of canal water apparently does no ecological damage? Ok. Panama international credit rating has been down graded. Many tourists cancelling bookings. Produce rotting because it cannot get to market. Locking down the country is only hurting the poor. They have suffered enough. No?

  4. Thank you. I lived in the Chiriqui province for some years and witnessed the power of protests and the shutting down of the Americana highway. I still have friends there and am still interested in what happens there. This was a very good and clear report.

    Nearly all of them were related to mining Cobalt/Lithium.

    Interests are being glazed over through this reporting…
