The KA Box is definitely a box 10/10
I actually like the job that Goldshell did with this box. Might be tempted to buy one just based on the efficiency…if I can find one 😂

80C for a home miner is surely calling for trouble for a home mining box 😬 I did order two of them, and will be looking forward to meter box' cooling mod!!!
I think the KA Box is cool, besides the temps, maybe a future firmware update will fix the target temp for the fans.
I think the Goldshell box miners just run hot. I have 6 boxes (KDA, CKB, and one HS) and they all run 84c in my garage
i wanna win the 24hr hashrate, i like the ka box I think its goldshells first actually good at home miner, the temps are kinda bad, but if you repaste and change fans it will probably lower temps, I dont think it would be good to overclock like people have been with the ks0s and ks0pros overall i think its a great at home miner for the price I wish they manufactured some more to meet demands or lowered the price a bit
It might run hot, but I still think it's an awesome little unit! I've been wanting a KS1, but they're never available.
Plus the KA box is more efficient, and in a smaller package that can run on 120v, wifi to boot! Hopefully I'll be able to grab one if they restock before the price goes too crazy.
A shroud kit would be awesome especially if later firmware allows overclocking.
KA Box would be nice if it wasn't a ticking toaster.
My opinion about it is that its good for the power consumption but a bit risky to buy for people who mine with not a lot of miner. And you're crazy for opening those two miners right away!
I really want to like it, but those thermals are more than a little concerning!
why the fan speed (RPM) is 2220 in your miner as per the specifications of the miner it was claimed that it has a fan speed of 4500 RPM may be that will be the problem of overheating

I honestly believe that every miner and standard computing device has a purpose to bring profitability, but as we are *only about 100 years into (Computing Technology) in general, we as humans will continue to make unknown mistakes and upgrade or try to fix faults when they become known as a whole. Their design most likely created some sort of rattle or hum from the internals and the placement/amount of screw bolts created a diffuser for the sound emittance. I love every machine profitable or not. I think they lacked testing quality before they shipped it to you in my opinion. It seems the first generation of everything made nowadays lacks in all aspects in some way. Things from the prior generations were built with quality over quantity. It seems sometimes the market cuts corners in today's times. I hope everyone has a good year and is prosperous in their ventures!
Maybe change the fans out with higher RPM ones?

Thats a hot box for sure. I love the idea of these small home miners but I feel their lifespan is super short compared to full sized asics which makes me reluctant to get one for myself
to mine at home this semestre great, but not gonna lie, that temp is looking terrible. something needs to change, otherwise it will just be too Hot for me.
