  1. As a linux user I don't understand the issue. I started cpu mining in august and currently have 10 rigs in my farm. They all run on vanilla debian with xmrig. Months of uptime is the rule, not the exception. I can ssh into all the rigs and point them all to a different coin/pool in less than 5 minutes.

  2. Interesting video! I'm a very small time miner nowadays so I don't get involded in the changes. But when I built a mining rig, I was always considering to both CPU and GPU mine with the same rig. To save some power overhead. That seems the way to go now.

  3. Currently for 6 CPU and 4 GPU is charging 53 cent per day, what is a steal… 53 + electric cost = to almost nothing in profit. I'm a bit lost, because nicehash is crap don't even show all rigs and windows I need a GPU for each CPU. It's hard to be a low miner. 😢

  4. I run Tight VNC on my headless CPU miners, you can run RemoteRipple for free and have a ton of VNC windows open at the same time, all free. Of course you'll lose the bells and whistles of Hive and need to install Windows but at least it won't cost you anything.

  5. Hey, once again, love the new song and I’m still gonna use Hive OS because I was kind of paying out-of-pocket anyways because I mainly used the actual income to pay off power most of the time and just spending it on whatever I want and just reinvesting it. But I think the first computer I had on Hive OS was a CPU mining rig that I dedicated to mining and was for sure using it for mining and it was free but now that rig is currently in my main gaming, PC and PC general and I have many rigs on it so yeah.😂

  6. Remember the merchants selling shovels and pans in the great California Gold Rush made the most money. Dam crypto providers they are out for themselves. Greed is in everything even Crypto.

  7. I never used HiveOS, i am just using Linux Ubuntu and Debian for mining and i never regretted my choice.
Paying for being able to control your rigs in a cloud system which is often broken especially too much traffic in their server infrastructure, for a closed-source mining software which has plenty of security flaws since many many years does not make any sense.
The same way you should be in control of your private keys, you should also be in control at much as you can of your mining rigs 💁🏽‍♀

  8. i just use a strip down version of windows very stable, i can do any of the over clock scrips that you can do on hiveos. i can access/link to any of the miners from my main pc, my cost is the pool and miner with discounts. If it wasn't windows it would be Linux to keep the cost low and simple. Hiveos is no plug and play OS that could justify the cost.
Not just electrical efficiency but mining cost efficiency as well. I do trust your tips Zephyr so far the best tip.

  9. If it worked flawlessly I wouldn't mind a price increase. I've kept my farm at 4 rigs, now the rules change. Keeping hiveshell working for 24hrs would be a great start.
