  1. Thanks for the nice clear explanation of the Herion/Telfer situation Matty and the 3 most likely options, do you have the feeling that Newcrest was always a bit 'half hearted' in their exploration and development of Haverion? And follow-up questions – how bad are the geotechnical risks of getting the decline through the base of the Permian cover and will that be the moment of truth if Haverion is ever developed? I would expect some big glacial till boulders at the base of the Permian cover sequence and then a weathering profile at the top of the Proterozoic basement. Or have they got through the Permian cover already? In which case it would be derisked.

Twiggy is about to take a big position in Gold mining in WA. Wyloo walked away from Regis in 2022, maybe they still have 5%. Wyloo owns 8% of Greatland. Do you think the fact that Greatlands office in Perth is a 2 minute walk to Newcrest, Regis and Newmont was a mistake or coincidence ? I don’t. Twiggy has an ego bigger than the Aussie rugby team combined, ultra ambitious with big money behind him. Someone who worked for him once said “Twiggy can see around corners”. Let’s wait and see if that’s correct.

  3. Newmont paid $10B for Goldcorp in 2019. They then sold Red Lake to EVN, and now three more assets for sale. Only left with Cerro Negro in Argie and 40% interest Pueblo Viejo in the Dominican Republic. Penasquito in Mexico is a basket case with on/off social license. So $10B paid for 500koz of annual attributable gold

  4. The biggest load of trash since l was in Uni 40 years ago is the explosion in EBIT -DA. Show me the money up front ,what is my take home . My dividend is X plus full tax paid . You can go seriously bankrupt with this trash . Tell a chick my EBIT -DA is 100k and all she wants to know is can l shop all day , send the kids to private school and holiday . lf not, get your broke ass out of here . Bring back a basic A – L = P so we can see if we are solvent without the tax man and banker wanting my sole because l spent all the money and l did not pay interest or my tax
