Así que me cansé y terminé instalando pfSense directamente al hardware del servidor casero.
Me estuve toda la tarde y parte de la noche haciendo hasta lo imposible para hacer que el sistema soporte el PCI Remapping pero nunco logré dar frutos. Este problema de incompatiblidad con el PCI Remapping probablemente es porque la tecnología de la placa madre es muy vieja.
Me dió problemas con el remapeo PCI porque a pesar que configuré el parámetro "intel_iommou=on" en grub + sus módulos, el sistema no soportaba el PCI Remapping, así que nunca pude hacer funcionar el NIC Passthrough con la VM con pfSense. De ahí todo lo demás, mi servidor casero rendía muy bien con Proxmox.
