Proxmox 8.1 + Debian12 + LinuxGSM = Zombies

game servers are worthy – esp with fiber but with selected games and such – can be a real time sink but everyody needs some diversions – my suggestion to you would be to fab one box with multigpu for ai llms – what do you need – probably on order of 80gb gpu ram which is still a real reach for anybody – maybe run like 3 16gb gpu at first and run smaller models and then pop for more? i think we are still 3-5 yrs away from ai really reaching the masses – maybe more like 7-8 but it can be done now if you are determined – plus you can also use as a password cracker and compute box for python scripts etc. on a more down to earth request how about making a soc pkt cap box? pick from several distros fashioned for this purpose – selks. ossim/ossec, malcolm etc – you want and need pkt cap of all ingress and egress on your network and so do clients – both ai and pkt cap have a bit more redeeming value than game server but they are all good
