with all due respect to everybody who created Proxmox: is is so complicated to just set up smtp that probably 99% of proxmox users don't even bother…
one more time I will repeat: complicated does NOT mean better! it only means: more complicated
With proxmox 8.1 it is much easier to setup notifications. I simply setup my individuell smtp configs and that's it! No postfix, no aliases.
As always, a clear and complete tutorial !
I configured my proxmox notifications in the same way a few weeks ago, I kinda wish this video had been released at that time 😂
I noticed Proxmox version 8.1 contains a new SMTP parameter in the notififations section of the datacenter view. Have you had the opportunity to try it ? (I have not upgraded yet)
