awsome video!!! 😀
i want a 1u rack audio production pc but dont really know where to get started
good
Man it's so cool. i'm technology savvy but not so much to understand server stuff, unraid alone gave me headaches. You're a smart guy, waiting for the continuation video of this beast!
If u are in Germany i sell a dell r730 2x e5 2697v4 8x 1.92tb toshiba sas 12g Drives Enterprise ssd 64gb ddr4 ecc ram
Xeon has "pure" cores, not threads?
>Haswell
BOOOOOOOOOOOOO MORE LIKE HAS… uh, POORLY
Oh good alcoholic tea…
No just no. The only thing worse than an ESC4000 is an ESC8000.
Damn it Jeff, stop spending my money! You are so much worse than my ex wife. 😂 I want a divorce….and 5 of those machines.
Make your own power connector and provide them for sale.
While cloud gaming is cool on multi-VM GPU servers, I'm always more interested in the potential to use hubs or thunderbolt to create essentially a LAN center or multi-user PC setup!
I am very sorry to say YouTube did not show me your channel for years till 6+ months ago…… I almost forgot you, I am ashamed of that.
Laziness is king. We should have a plung-in that shows us the channels we like/love no matter what G/Tube does… We are here because of people like you, not the video quality/stream/access.
Cheers,

What are you using for the remote access client to be able to game on this cloud gaming server?
(I tried Parsec, but the connection STILL wasn't stable.)
I could be wrong but I believe that server can actually support up to 2933 ecc ram. It’s just not officially supported.
Have you looked into the Dell t630? I’ve got that going right now with p40s and it’s great. I just can’t figure out how to pass though the p40s to a vm with ProxMox.
U got this Jeff!!
im interested to see how something like this would pair with a Steam-Linked phone with…say a backbone for controls. Excited to see what comes of this!
Man you must have a TON of rack mounted servers around the house. I have to wonder where your spare servers go? Do you even HAVE spare servers, or do you USE all of them to some degree?
your evil… i didn't need a new server until i saw this, now i have another server on the way.
if you consider you hosting this sell this service other people 2000 to 2500 for 8 parallel players is not bad. if you plan to get the money back in 12 month 30 to 35 per moth seems a good price for. if i assume the energy and connection price for and include it in the total monthly price to run this system. i bought a r630 for 2 years and did not realy know what should i do with after turning this system the first time on. mine has 2 E5 2699V4 and 768gb ddr4 2130mhz ram and the 10gb nic. i used a old thinkcentre with a pentium and 8gb of ddr3 this system was constantly on 90% utilization and hast some issues run services and game servers. and as i saw on ebay a r630 for only 600€ i bought it. the specs at first was unclear because it said its a in and aout servise no reconfiguration or refurbish only testing if everything works. i got lucky and got a really high spec machine. i never had a industrial server and was blown away as i saw what performance this thing has. i mean running the same services and game servers with only 2 to 5% utilization was crazy also the power draw of 200W doing basically nothing. i did not use it for the last 2 years i thought about reselling it but now i use ai tools like stable diffusion and a language model and this system seems nearly perfect for this job. i gpu would be nice but with only 25w pcie power and one slot 3 half size pcie and no power connector is a bit tricky i tried a t1000 and it works but i get constantly messages for pcie power also the t1000 is slow now i have a google coral on a m.2 a-key card in my system and this is way faster as the t1000. the only down side is stable cant use the coral only a gpu but the t1000 is way slower als using the full 44 cores of my system also if the image is to big it crashes but on cpu mode i can use the whole system ram for it. for the language model the coral is 3 times faster as the t1000 and use more power. i can if i find the right pcie card use up to 12 corals because the coral uses 2 pcie lanes so and need one usb connection over the m.2 e key so each pcie card can have 8 lanes and one usb connection. but for now i have only 1 coral also there are expensive and maybe they support tensorflow and not only tensorflow lite wich is not commonly used on large ai models but being 3 times faster with 1.5w compared to 40W is nice ^^
Hey Jeff, what PCI card are you using for the dual NVMEs for the OS? Thanks!
Bro pls try gaming on this machine . Want to get a performance aspect
I'm really thinking about this one, but curious question. How loud are the fans? I've been trying to come up with a mostly quiet solution as this would go in a dry basement.
I've had a horrible experience with those patriot drives, 3/4 of the drives I got started having controller issues and eventually died.
Those cpu's can do cluster on die, it would be interesting to see its impact on benchmarks
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you are not allowed to end this video …Continueeeee. I'm excited for part 2
How do you get your setups to work with Anti Cheat? Almost all the games that I try running on my setup tells me they do not permit running in VMs? Games like PUBG, Fortnight etc
Jees u guys got it lucky these are 900 over here for just the chassis.
