Wait a second, what's the problem with PFSense? Not a rhetorical question, I've been using it for years with no issues but with that said I haven't been keeping up with the tech world lately.
But can I run a Counter Strike Source server on it? π
nice to see the coaster make an appearance
Your final comment was very well said. This is Exactly what we need. More people trying and tinkering ( failing ) and getting themselves to the next level ( who knows, could be humanity ). Just heard that some of the big AI companies can't expand fast enough because they can only put so many AI cards in one location at once or they literally will cause a black out in that state ( from legit AI source ). So they move on to the next state. They could use the electricity from people like that then, like the Wraith from that Stargate Atlantis TV Series for energy, fits since OpenAI is calling their new initiative Stargate, well let's GO then !!!
call pistol im the book keeper
Thanks for the video, I enjoy your content. I just don't understand the appeal of this product. The PCI slot isn't designed well, and the brackets have to be bent or removed. That seems like a failure in consideration on their part. Cool that it provides 2 sata ports, but they just have to dangle on the outside? I'm far from being a neat freak, but that's a sloppy mess I don't want. The CPU isn't that powerful compared to a pi4/5, and you get much more value from a mini pc such as a Minisforum GK41 with celeron j4125, 8gb ram, 2 lan ports, nvme and sata drive capacity, is near silent and idles ~4 watts. If folks like them, cool… but I don't understand the appeal.
didn't realize they added community libraries to CASA-OS. If I was starting all over again i'd probably give it a try. I'm currently Proxmox with ubuntu server and portainer for most of my docker stuff. I like having the web terminal, basic file system browsing, and docker all in one interface with Casa-OS. I have spun-up a VM with it running on Ubuntu server so I can keep experimenting with it. If they keep updating it I think it'll probably win me over.
You're already a hit to me, as soon as I saw the Feist book π
Cant tell you how happy I am you made this video. Literally just turned my old system into a deb12 server with casaos on top. I love it so far for my HA setup and jellyfin. The dockers are STOOPID EASY
Iβd love to run a nas with this if there was a cool enclosure. I have a spare ryzen 1600, but I worry about power consumption
That graphics card has lived the life. Probably had more types of beer than me.
I've lost hope of a Albert and Logan collba
Pretty neat little SBC. It can sit on top of the tower of mini PCs.
Love tinkering. When people ask me why? I kind of just stare at them until they walk or go away.
Nice video. Noob question. Sorry for asking such a simple question but I have good hope to have an answer here. Is it feasible to make a Minecraft server with this?
we play games on a mountain
Can you try it with Dockge?
Iβm thinking about Proxmox / virtual Opnsense on the MS-01 because of those 10G SFP+ ports. Damn I want a Proxmox box, just canβt decide on it. The MS-01 may not have enough ports, and Iβve heard the paste job is bad and that Liquid Metal will drop temps by 20 C. It has some odd compromises though. Iβm also somewhat concerned about long term support like BIOS updates.
Sue my pants off! π
