  1. This NAS is made in China.. Unless you are ok to share your personal photos and privacy with someone in China and let CCP to monitor your daily activities, go ahead 😅😅😅

  2. Does the software allow you to expand the storage pool if you do something like start with three drives in RAID 5 and then add a fourth drive later on? Thank you in advance

  3. someone already loaded a different OS on this box.First you need to remove the internal nvme ssd first so you can go to BIOS setting of the system , after that disable watchdog timeout in the BIOS. Once all that's done, install your own OS on it.

  4. I would not consider this video a "review" at all, its lacking absolutely everything important. No Power Consumption Data (60w Idle measured by NASCompares), not a single world of elemental Features missing like Snapshots, Docker, Disk Upgrades (4x8TB -> 4x16T), Media Apps (Plex) or many many more. This feels like a cheap "I do a video with little to no effort and get a free nas" influencer stuff. Sorry i have to say this.

  5. ugreen is embarrassing themselves by sending these out incomplete and with their own crap media player instead of just embracing Plex, Jellyfin or Emby. The redeeming features are the connectivity. I want to see one of you "reviewers" install TrueNAS and see, report how hit works.

  6. Typical Chinese stuff, looks great on paper but long term?? As a NAS, no chance. As a all in one docker box and short term storage device, yes. Then use your other nas as a stable long term storage device. Synology stuff is great but the apps are crap.

  7. Is it possible to access the data on the NAS from the PC that acts as the Plex Server?

My feeling is yes but I am not 100% sure. If I can access data from windows explorer then I think that i can „tell“
Plex to use/access data from the NAS as well?!

  8. Thanks for talking price. Talking price helps keep prices low. Knowledge is power and when "consumers" dont have the info to include in their their demand decision, the supplier can do whatever they want, including price fixig, which companies keep getting caught doing…

    Thanks for talking price.

  9. You can load all those things on Synology here and now … I know Synology is not perfect and has their own quirks but by far next to doing unraid its one one the better over all solutions out there for the cost… Plus there nas's work with just about any ip security camera ..
