Make sure you update the bios for that nvme, there's been issues with that model showing incorrect drive usage I believe
I ran into this issue and I just got a 2-pack of M.2 heatsinks with included thermal pads from Amazon for $10, now they idle around 24-28C and peak around 50-55C under load
Guess what, All Drives have a retency of up to 50- id even say 60 Celsius and unraid is set to 40-50 by default, it is absolutly NORMAL stuff that your drive Runs at 40-50 if its not cooled at all; And you should Change your settings if you dont want the notification these are just Settings. 🤷♂ what a dumb Solution to fixing the problem you had with REPLACING the whole Drive idea 🤣
of course if you keep them below 40 then they will have an healthier life; but the principle is the same BASICLY change the setting;at which temperature it would fire up a notification
What type of server chassis and rack are you using? I recently bought the Rosewill RSV-L4500U 4U. I can't figure out what type of storage rack to use for my Unraid build.
