As I started clicking within Dell's website, I found it remarkably easy to spend $750K on one of these once stuffed with $18k each 256GB RAM modules, quad Platinum CPUs, and stuffed with NVME drives… and heaven help you if you wish to license SQL Enterprise with 240 total cores! 🙂 (If you are a Win DataCenter fan, don't forget about $70K in licensing fees there as well!)
I want to check licensing costs for MS SQL Enterprise, with quad socket 60 core, 240 cores total? 🙂
Suitable for perhaps DHCP assignment duties for a 10 person SMB?
OVER $50k NOW, in 3 to 5 years I will buy it for $900
I wonder how Dell engineer can pull that off, especially this is basically splitting motherboard in half. The timing and cable quality must be insane. Or maybe below those cable there's some edge/B2B connector for high-speed bus
Look not badly
