  1. why do you guys script cringe content, as someone who is actually tech savvy, this is something scripted for 12 year olds, and no one reached out to this dude, federal law enforcement already partially shut down this group…..

  2. What is the main problem here? That the data is leaked or that the owners don't have a copy? If he waits for the data to be leaked he will get his data back. Then it depends if the data can be really used to something.

  3. This should be given to anyone who still cannot understand how terrible the idea is to have Russia win a physical invasion. Putler literally supports this kind of attacks as a mean to undermine the west. It's a country run by ruthless criminals actively looking for endless power to fulfill their evil gains. Letting them win the war will only tell them that they can do whatever unimaginable evil stuff they want, even if massacring innocent people in other countries would be the way to go.

  4. This video was really informative. It's sad to think that people can be this heartless to get money out of people. Especially older people. I hope that guy can recover from this with his business. Thanks to Ryan for being the best negotiator even if it's sad to have to pay anyways.

  5. You should have all your important files backed-up and laugh at the black-hats while your are cleanly reinstalling operating system via bootable media (like USB) including boot records of SSD or in the worst case pay 70 bucks for new SSD or in rare cases also motherboard if even firmware like BIOS is encrypted. Paying them doesn't guarantee the decryption key, especially if you're nobody. That said, if you're a physical person and not a company.

  6. What actually happens is, people within the firm are approached and offered a lump sum by hackers. Theyre actually accept the malware on the computers. Hackers dont magically infiltrate anything without an inside man and that is absolute fact

  7. Only fools pay.

    1. No hacker is going to delete your data. The reason they keep it is incase theyre tracked and there is aftermaths.

    2. Not a single client is going to carry on business with an accountant firm thats been hijacked and their data is out there in the ether.

  8. A creator on y .tube got an email with a real VPN company name offering sponsorship to his y. tube channel but it was fake which he didn't know. He actually used the real VPN company & it looked like it was legit . He went to look at a PDF document that claimed to have the legal paperwork re the sponsorship deal & put in a code they sent him to " view it". When he went to that document it said " file corrupted" With a few minutes he was getting suspicious login notifications from Google. He had lost access to his you tube channel and everything else. Luckily YouTube got it all back for him within a day or 2. ( only grammar edit)

  9. Ryan is so calm and in control and that isn't something many people could do if it's them personally doing the negotiating. These bastards (excuse my language) are relying on the person they are threatening/ holding at ransom being unaware of what to do when that happens. That makes them even worse for they are part of our most vulnerable. Thanks to the trilogy team and to Ryan for doing this to genuinely help others opposed to trying to make a lot of money doing it. Keep safe😊.

  10. Sorry but.. i dont know ryans extent of involvement with project veritas which is a disinformation platform that literally supported a fraud rapists attempted coup on national television
And i wont support him here… I love trilogy but meh..

How do we know that ryan is always ethical? Project veritas surely isnt
How do we onow he doesnt get cut on on from black cat etc? So the idea is to ransom someones data but make it so complicated rhat only "people they uave worked with before" can help the company pay the ransom… Sounds fishy AF to me… Now im not saying ryan did that but something doesnt seem right to me

  11. My husband is a security specialist and an IT god. He has seen so much and he's in the Cyber pool. This is very real. And it doesn't just happen to individuals or small businesses. It's everywhere. These people have all the time in the world. Their job is to get in, quietly. They'll spend time gathering information and tip-toeing around your code and collect every scrap of info they can lay their cursor on. By the time you hear from them, it's too late. You're going to have to give someone a whole lot of money to get yourself out of the hole you've dug for yourself. Don't leave your PW's laying around. Don't put them into a folder named "Passwords". Do not use a work computer for personal browsing, even if you work remotely. And change your passwords often. Get a generator if you can't keep track of them all. This is so new, there aren't adequate laws to protect people from this type of crime. Don't be stupid because you'll be broke.
