Once again Twitter is wrong.
A shock to nobody I’m presuming.
For the poll. Out of all the RX-78-2. It would be the PG Unleashed because it is the pinnacle of PG model kit at the time. That being said, the Entry grade also would be equal or below the PG Unleashed because it is so simple yet complex. Both fun to build and I can see why the points of them.
I have not build the MG or RG version of it but if I were to rated, it will be based on reviews. RG would be last place since is good at first but in the long run, it has issue with the inter-frame. As for the MG, it would be third as it was the base for later MG and overall complexity of it is limited. MG was great for the time but I wasn't there for it so it not a big significant to me.
I have base the rating from the kits I have build so it just an opinion.
The Rg rx-78 for me was the craziest. I remember how amazing it was seeing the pictures and the idea of a new line of gunpla.
is there a specific site to find gunpla at ok prices? I want to get into them, but i'm far from rich
Hot take on the RX-78: The G40 Industrial Design
Meer-sama! ❤
I may not like this thought, but what about a GEM Agnes in similar clothing to Meer or anything close to it? Because, you know, if you can't get enough of an iredeemably evil character, why not have something to goad you to like her?
Did you get a new microphone? You sound a lot more clear
Sheeshh…that Meer figurine….
ugh I'm sick and tired of P bandai as i am in Canada and they don't ship here. and yes i know there are ways
Some of the gimmicks on the RG-RX-78 v2.0 seem to be incorporated from designs used in the Ferrari-designed Gundam released for the 40th anniversary back in 2019.
For the poll… they should have put the original pg grandpa… the original changed gundam period!
MG Neo Gundam when bandai.
The MG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 1.0 may have started the MG line in 1995, but it hasn't aged well compared to the 1/100 Full Action RX-93 Nu Gundam – which came out in 1988.
the most shocking RX 78-2 are the two missing: the MG 2.0 and the og PG
6:38 Not to mention that Acguy was one of the first to do that pose so it makes sense to pay homage
personally, I feel that PGU is greatly overhyped. Proportions are waaay too chonky due to 2137 layers of inner frame used, and you cannot even see it that much, because despite having multiple hatches they don't show that much of inner mechanics (Mk II is still the best in that regard). Kinda funny, because RG 2.0 feels the same for me – its a better model than the original, but it just doesnt look good as RX-78 representation with all those changes to the proportions.
IMO other kits deserved the top spot more.
I would say the HG GTO rx-78 tbh, since that was the first(?) HG that can be made to look close to RG/MG OOB without much work
According to Dalong, Torohachi is roughly in 1/35 scale, which means the Draken will also be in 1/35.
I remember the event that was that first rg and how suddenly people had new expectations from mg and pg. I also feel mg 2.0 could have been included.
My order preorder this week was that next ensemble set, for once only ms i like
I just want Hg Gundam G-Self to get a Revive Version.
Negligee Mashymre when
Me : i wish they make revive exia. 😢
Bandai : here new 144/1 rx-78
im shocked that the PG unleashed is in any higher place as it is.
because this PG was lowkey foreshadowed by the releases under the "Gunpla Evolution Project" starting all the way from 2017 with the HG Zeta
The F90 kits from P-Bandai were good. I have 2. Dunno if I need more than 2 though.
Look for silhouette formula 91 MS!
No scale is pointless
I vote the RG
But because of a different reason
Shock for the early RG syndrome… it's really un expected
Guel might be the first in a line of Mecha Muse Boys ( mobile armored Gundam mecha Boys) that
the world desperately needs
I hope we get a HGUC Alpha Azieru one day, the 1/144 Machine Build from my experience is just like a build-able figure more than an actual model kit.
All Pbandai and no MG makes jack a dull boy
I just hope they start printing the MG GM Sniper Custom again soon… and maybe some of the MG Zabi Zakus… or just any of the ace suits…
Gundam breaker 4 needs to add more MSV to it
WATSUP. CAN I GET INFORMATION ON HOW I CAN PRE ORDER THE GUNDAM SEED FREEDOM FILM MIGHTY EDITION FOR US SHIPPING?
Nice patlabor stuff
Get your snacks, News time
I want bandi to release a peace million model
Metaverse…pleas no Bandai just stop! Just concentrate on Gundam Breaker 4! I rather pictures of GB builds rather than real life builds.
To much rx78-2
Oh look, one MG kit. MG line survived!
It would be nice to finally get revive version of the first generation Gundam 00 mobile suits
So, there's a disconnect between the shock of the announcement and the shock of the actual product on release. In terms of announcement; the PG Unleashed wins. No body was expecting it, indeed the PG was(?) considered kind of dead. After that, probably the Entry Grade, that Bandai was open to producing more simple kits was known, that they'd be introducing a new grade wasn't. Master Grade and Real Grade pull up the rear, Bandai was clearly groping for something better than their 1/100 and 1/60 No Grades at the time, and Gunpla was getting bigger, it was time to introduce something notably more detailed than what came before. Ditto RG, Bandai was running out of both HG and MG kits to release or remake that would sell, thus they decided to experiment with MG detail in HG scale and HG detail in MG scale (RE100). Not particularly shocking. By contrast, there's the question of how shocking the actual kit was on release. Here the Entry Grade probably reigns supreme, as a lot of people were expecting something less than an HG. They were not expecting something that through sheer craft managed to basically obsolete the HG. After that, a close second is the RG. Initial reactions were "Holy crap, Bandai has done it, MG detail in a 1/144!", then the joints wore out and people became shocked with how bad it was. So pretty shocking, all things considered. Then you've got the MG, which was impressive for its time but not especially shocking, Bandai had produced roughly comparable kits before like the 1/100 No Grade Nu Gundam; it was a step up, but not shockingly so. And then you've got the PG Unleashed which was kind of expected to be the flower of Bandai's Gunpla craft, the fact that it delivered was not especially shocking.
Anything but Reviving the Gelgoog and the Dom.
My vote for the Most Shocking RX-78-2 Ever…might honestly be the G40 Industrial kit? Even now it feels like an oddity.
im so hyped for the draken e
