Thank you for the wonderful video. It helps in learning. But, I have a doubt, what about if your VM has a RDM attached to it. What would happen, when we re-attach the RDM to the newly created VMs. And what if it is in Virtual or Physical compatibility mode? Also, in RHEL VMware Tools are managed RHEL. So, do we need to take any measures from that angle when we upgrade the VM HW Version?
Hi Sir,
When we add existing hard disk to the newly created VM for downgrading hardware version, does the server IP remain same? as we are creating new vm but adding existing vmdk file? and does it impact any existing applications and data on it?
Vmx file change seems easy but high chances of corrupting it, would suggest to take a snapshot before editing vmx file.
