I set up open VPN years ago on PFS and it was a nightmare. Frankly the wizard isn’t much of a wizard. Few months ago I set up WireGuard. It was an absolute nightmare to get it running. After all the work setting open VPN you find out that it’s terribly slow.
A real wizard would take one or two clicks you could download the client and you’d be done. Not everyone works with PF since every day. Those who do live in a bubble thinking that this implementation is good we’re not that bad. it’s awful.
This should be a simple lock and key implementation. Of course you should be able to tune how this functions but that should be an option that most people don’t even have to go near.
