Avoid running into as many errors as I did when performing a bare metal server installation of EVE-NG 5.0 on Ubuntu 20.04. The steps in this video can also be used to perform a legacy installation of EVE-NG 4.0 on Ubuntu 18.04.
EVE-NG is one heck of software…

Can the same steps be done on community edition?
Also is it a good idea to allow eveng box to connect over internet? Cause i saw it opens the portal on http
hi sir, eve-ng-community, do you have free source code for development?
hi sir

even though i add in system windows there is no response
hai jon. i install eve-ng on ubuntu 23.10 but error, and i try to install from iso but i can log in using root/eve to the os
I setup EVE-NG exactly like this unfortunately my server crashed right in the middle of studying for my CCNP Encor. Now I'm back at square one. Luckily I only had about 10 labs completed so I can re-do them. So, here I am….again…..building on a brand new PC I just built off of PC Part Picker. Excellent tutorial, makes my life a lot easier. Cheers.
hi sir can your install eve-ng on ubuntu server 22.04
Cool video. Curious, as I want to buy a system to run large eve labs. What are the resources required to run a large eve lab as far as cpu, ram, disk etc? I know there are lots of variables, but what would you recommend to avoid any resource issues?
Thanks 😄I finally have installed EVE on Hyper-V.
What bare machine using ubuntu is recommended and what is the cost? Thanks.
Hi John thank you for taking the time and doing this video super awesome. I’m just learning how to install like this. You have a new subscriber.
This might be a dumb question, but can't you just take the eve-ng iso file and make that a bootable usb and install it to a device that way? I got an older laptop and it had issues doing this. The ubuntu installed and ran fine, but the eve install was basically a brick. I was wondering if/why I could/couldn't just install it via usb-iso.
Well crap… I just got my EVE-Pro instance set up on ESXi… Now I'm buying another server, moving all my other servers off of it and throwing eve onto the 96 core server I have… Wish I had started off like that. The CPU cap that ESXi Imposes though is annoying.
