Is there a way to remove the spaces from the “VMWare Shared Folders” on a Mac guest?

Edit: Resolved

I’m running VMWare on a windows machine and creating a Mac “guest”. I added a shared folder to the mac. I can open it and work with the files on the Mac with no problem. The issue is the volume name has spaces in it: “VMWare Shared Folders”. This is causing problems with some scripts I am running from the terminal in the mac guest. Can I remove the spaces?

I tried viewing the info on the volume and I am unable to change the name there. I also only seem to have “read only” privilege. I tried changing it to read and write to see if that would work but I was unable to. Any pointers?
