The electrician was also 64 years of age at the time. For some reason, that makes it seem more plausible to me that he could have been the one that killed her. Just thinking out loud but it seems she was fond for bringing company home with her from the bar. Maybe he came back with her, she willingly let him in and then things turned bad once he was there. If you read the newspaper that is shown at 13:15, the actress claims he got the abrasions from her when he didn't want her going somewhere and caught her arm. She tried to push him off and cut him with the ring she was wearing. It sounds like the man doesn't hesitate to become a little physically aggressive with women. I think the electrician could have struck Violet for something that was said or done and he knocked her unconscious. It was stated she was unconscious when she was strangled. He could have panicked, thinking she would go to the cops upon regaining consciousness. He decided to kill her so she couldn't say anything. Again, just thinking out loud. I hate that it wasn't solved and probably never will be.
I've never heard of so many serial killers living in the same neighborhood.

Thats the thing with being sociable though it gives you more of an opportunity to meet people but it always increases the risk of meeting the wrong person which may well have been the case with Violet
