  1. Thank you! This fixed my problem. You really helped me, especially since you spent time explaining all the steps in between and how to look things up. It allowed me to be able to troubleshoot my custom problem.

  2. God bless you brother. I tried many things and utilities, NONE OF THEM could fix the disk, but your method worked amazing. Thank you so much, I was able to save a computer with a disk going bad. I meds a full image but the not sector was totally gone, so I was able to save the os/data once your method allowed me to not.

  3. After following all the video in the series doing some extra testing by only cloning portions of an unbootable windows installation and finding the recovery and uefi are fine I’m at a lose at how to fix my installation of windows 10. Problem started 2-3 weeks after cloning from a 2tb ssd nvme raid when I finally removed the drives from the pc which had been running only off 1 ssd with all raid functionality off for weeks is when problems start. After removing the 2 drives restart my computer everything is fine, now moved the drive to the proper m.2 slot so it’s in slot 1 over slot 4 now it’s unbootable recovery environment unreachable. After 5-6 days without a proper working computer I using unused space on the drive that isn’t working cloned a working fresh of windows 10 onto the drive having it boot off the same uefi partition. Works perfectly fine not like files are missing or anything at this point dism and sfc give no errors when that part of the drive is checked. Currently at a loss as to what can be done to fix windows even resetting isn’t an option.

  4. In my case my broken boot loader still works in the old PC. I built a new one and cloned the drive and the new drive failed to work. Rebuilt it and now it works. I don't know why the older computer is working fine. And by old I am Board I got in 2021. So not too old.

Edit to add. I only rebuilt the cloned drive and not the main one just in case it failed. Lucky it was successful!

  5. You are an absolute legend, my guy. I had just purchased 3 different piece-of-junk softwares to help me do what you cleanly laid out. Hours spent all day troubleshooting, that you were able to help me fix in mere minutes.

I even got my recovery partition working again, using a combination of posts: "Add Recovery Partition boot entry to Win10 Boot Menu" on NeoSmart Technologies forum and had to set gpt attributes=0x8000000000000001 on the partition. But afterwards, works like a charm – didn't have to install a duplicate recoveyr drive or anything.

Thank you so much! A life saver. I feel like I'm going to be able to enjoy my weekend afterall!

  6. Uuuurgh! I'm so happy that nearly every comment says it worked, but I'm stuck… After the "format v: /FS:FAT32" step, it warns me that all data will be lost and when I say yes, it proceeds to format, but then gives an error saying "Invalid media or track 0 bad – Disk unusable" 😢😩 I need help!

  15. Hey Rich. I need your help to create a bootable USB drive. I have just done it twice with Terabytes "Image for Windows" and then running one of their encrypted scripts (which is unreadable). However using this video's techniques should also work but it didn't. After the clone from IFW, I did the following, ran diskpart and assigned the 100MB fat32 partition a drive letter z:, exited diskpart and ran bcdboot c:windows /s z: /f UEFI. Rebooted and selected this external USB drive which did show up on the list but it booted into my internal samsung drive both times. Should this work?

  16. Thanks for simplifying this MS hell process. I installed a 2nd drive and installed Windows on it. Didn't know windows would automatically make it dual boot. I wanted the 2nd drive to be bootable by itself. But zero necessary partitions and files. I needed the correct UEFI partition and files. Got it but the BCD wasn't correct. This and another video on partition types got it working. 😄
