[KB5008353] A MASSIVE UPDATE for Windows 11 WITH LOADS OF FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS [22000.469]

Microsoft has just released build 22000.469 (KB5008353) for Windows 11, a new optional patch that brings a whole bunch of fixes and improvements, as well as a new Your Microsoft Account page in the Accounts category in Windows Settings!

The update also includes fixes for issues related to ARM64 devices, various issues related to audio devices, app icons in the taskbar, as well as multi-monitor setups and more! Today’s KB5008353 patch also addresses the bug preventing some apps from rendering colors correctly on select HDR displays.

Moreover, users will now find a new Bing-powered HelpWith feature that can suggest relevant Help topics for each Settings page.

Today’s KB5008353 patch includes a fix for an issue causing some devices to stop working when connected to multiple displays, and Microsoft has also addressed the bug preventing some apps from rendering colors correctly on select HDR displays.

Beyond that inclusion, Build 22000.469 is a long list of “we fixed” notes from Microsoft. ARM64 devices can look forward to app installation, reliability improvements and a resolution to a hibernation functionality issue, and the auto-brightness algorithm has been tweaked. Nothing here is major, but all items are useful.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You can download this optional patch from Windows Update right now, though be aware that Microsoft has acknowledged an issue causing recent emails that are stored locally to not appear in the search results of the Microsoft Outlook desktop app. It’s possible to mitigate this issue by disabling Windows Desktop Search, which will force Outlook for Windows to use its built-in search feature. However, Microsoft is already working on a more permanent fix that will come in a future Windows 11 patch.
