  2. If the work environment in VM needs a certain level of security, care needs to be taken to have the host computer running the VM having at least the same or better level of security. This could mean running non-work things in a VM too albeit in a different one. If you cannot do that for various reason, like gaming with invasive anti-cheat, you can look for booting the work environment from external drive directly if your OS supports it – I was doing this myself.
