where i can get that connector to connect probs? that is great
So i have my meter set at ohms with an alarm beep. Not touching them together starts it at 1. When i try to check the sensor nothing happens, it stays at 1. Is that bad. It seems like it should register something.
Hey thanks but I have a problem of sorts. I tested the right rear side on the JK Jeep Wrangler because my code reader is coming up with C1035. The cable is showing OL so I tested the left rear side and it shows the same thing! Does this mean that both sides are bad? I"m not sure what's going on. I switched the multi metre to voltage and both readings were around 11.35 volts. Do you have any idea what could be happening? Surely both sides are not bad, right?
Amazing video and energy! Helped a lot
My son has a 2014 nuke and the right rear speed sensor is not picking up so he replaced the wheel bearing and speed sensor and still no signal so he which the thing drives side to the passenger side and still nothing. Took sensor off and replaced it and still nothing. He took to dealer and they said ABS actuator was bad 2000$ later Still no signal coming from right rear speed sensor. The gear on the cv shaft looks good but the plate ring that the sensor mounts to look rusty so I'm going to clean it up but how can I test the leads and what to look for testing something from the computer to the wheel to track the problems down maybe a bad wire somewhere
You shouldn’t be working on your car without some type of scanner. You can buy them now for 20 bucks and up.
Very helpful tka
My daughter has a 2019 Toyota Corolla. All the dash lights are on and the speedometer doesn't work. The only code it's reading is speed sensor. How do I know which one? And is the wheel sensor the same as a speed sensor?
Can Speed sensor cause All the lights on the dash to come on and the speedometer not to work???
Why do you talk so slow?
Thank you thats much better than the last video I wasted time with someone else try to tell me I need an autel computer probably a 3 thousand dollar computer would be nice to have but if I could afford that kind of equipment I would have to be here researching how to right thanks I do have an ohm meter much thanks
Please help; the ignition needs to be on, or you have to crank the engine? ; thank you
Yeah is there a polarity difference or doesn't it matter it whichever way you hook it up I'm an Africa with this car and a mechanic cut the stupid wires and then he destroyed it out of the hub I had to order new wheel sensors so now I have no plug because he cut it and he threw the plug away Now I'm just wiring it connected together does polarity make a difference blue wire yellow wire whatever it is
To be clear, if specification is within 1% (as you stated), you are indeed out of spec. You have a reading of 31.11megOhm (31.11 millions ohms) 1% of that would be .3111. Therefore you spec would be 30.8m – 31.42megohms. Your reading on the second sensor was 31.58 which is outside of your specification.
Yes❤
02 kia rio , manual trans, speedometer quit working… seems to have just one speed sensor- on passenger side front wheel.. has 1.4 ohms no visible damage. any ideas welcome
If 1 is damaged can it cause the car not to shift down ?
Nope. The PCM and ABS module looks Hz from an AC current, not resistance. ABS sensors are nothing more than a magnetic pickup that creates a hall effect. Probe the terminals, put your meter on AC volts and spin the wheel.
Good video. But, what is the next test if the ABS light is on, and the speed sensor passed THIS test.
Thank you
Just so everyone knows, he is not plugged into the car's electrical system wiring harness he is plugged into the other end of the speed sensor one and is connected at the wheel hub that has the actual sensor and the other end that he's plugged into is the end that would normally connect to the cars wiring harness oh, there are so many comments of everyone claiming he's plugged into that cars computer and the cars wiring harness and I tried to respond to all the comments that said that to let them know that they are wrong and to help them understand what's going on, so I hope this helps everyone understand what's going on here, the wheel speed sensor has two ends at one end is the sensor that's plugged into the Hub and the other end is what he is plugged into and that is the end that you would Connect into the cars wiring harness, I hope this helps I've try to make it as clear as possible
It looks like you have it plugged into the car harness not the sensor leads🤷♂️
So how can you say the actual sensor is good? This is just confirming theres a connection coming from the computer. This cant tell you if the actual sensor is working tho.
One thing you failed to consider… if one is 40 and one is 30 which one is the bad one
