IMPORTANT NOTE: Appears a mistake was made, in expecting the defaultpaulworldsettings.ini to be applicable if the Pal/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/PalWorldSettings.ini was empty. This is apparently not the case. This means to change options you NEED to copy the contents of DefaultPalWorldSettings.ini into the PalWorldSettings.ini in Pal/Saved/Config/WindowsServer directory and edit them there. It’s empty by default, so copy the whole content inside it.
HOWEVER: Apparently a bug exists with direct IP connect, that does not allow for a password to be input (supposed to be fixed next update). So if you want to do direct IP connect you…

So, Wherer do i enter public Ip and my personal IP? Do my friends need to open dedicated server first and launch the game to join? Do they need to search with public or my IP? So confused
So my server works through my custom IP WAN input however I can't seem to find the server on the Community Server List? Is this normal or is my server not actually working?
You specifically said "Play Palworld Dedicated Server" and not a community server, then later (4:04) you wonder why your server is not showing up under Community Servers….
Its not a .ini file for me what do i do
Well well, seeing a familar face here π Hey Vedui appreciate the guide!
This pc of shit doesnt guide anything. Everyone know how to play via local network
do i need a separate steam account and game client to host a server without gimping my main account/computer?
do we use the IP from our main router( or main modem), or the one that is in Direct to the host pc?
do I need Port forwarding for myself or just for my friends to join?
CANT DO IT WITH GOOGLE WIFI. They literally dont let you properly port forward. The work around is to literally buy a router and splice it in with a bridge. GOOGLE HAS SHITTY PRODUCTS. Every single one of them is shit. Especially their fucking phones.
Um never showed us how to get the port forwarding page up, what a fail of a guide wow
This doesnβt help bro doesnβt actually explain enough of everything
I set up a server on my home network, it works great for me and my roommate. Whenever my friends try to join from an external network they are not able to connect. My roommate is using a different router than me for their internet connection so I thought that would be considered an external network. However, my two different friends on separate external networks both get an error connecting.
Mine just stops at the setting breakpad minidump and nothing happens from there on
It doesn't show .ini for me for the file just defaultpalworldsettings
Be honest who else watched to the end? π
Is there any way to copy my coop-world with a friend into a dedicated server?
If i used my old pc to host the server and i put it on sleep mode would the server still be running?
so we basically need a device that is running 24/7 in order to connect other players anytime?
Can i host it on Oracle cloud ?
When I create my own server, I see my friends lag while walking, after they create they have the same problem
I trust this message finds you well. I am writing to seek clarification on a matter concerning the transition from our current arrangement of playing on a friend's server to the acquisition of a full-time server for uninterrupted 24/7 access.
Specifically, we are interested in understanding whether the data and information currently residing on the server will be retained or if there will be a complete wipe upon the activation of the full-time server. We appreciate your prompt response to this inquiry, as it will greatly assist us in making an informed decision.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to your guidance.
are we using IPv4 or WAN IP?
How do i update server?
this was on okay guide i agree with the comment about you telling us to go and look up how to port forward and looking at other videos for help it wouldve been helpful had you told us how to
Can you change the world settings in a server like this?
Hey my setting dosent work like I changed the settings and it says no admin password or anything I also changed other settings and it dosent work. And having the default setting. Does anyone know how to fix this
After working on this for hours you got it working for me thankyou so much subbed and liked!
Hey so I followed all of the steps but I get the sever timed out error when I try to join any ideas?
You should do a Windows GSM Guide on setting one up as well. Its a super handy tool with a palworld plugin.
Also, you covered port forwarding any chance you figured out how to get a DNS to work with palworld? (A/SRV records) I use cloudflare and I cant seem to get it setup correctly with a DNS.
I've followed all the steps, but my friends cannot log in. Do you have resources to fix on port-forwarding? I'm guessing that might be the cause.
Heres a short 6 minute video that will literally tell you to look up other videos on what your trying to do. Great
Does anyone know if you can put someone on the Xbox and PC on the same server?
I got the dedicated server running on my main PC, ports forwarded correctly, and was able to connect through my external IP address. However, when I moved the server to my backup PC, I can't connect anymore. I can connect locally from both devices, but not through the external IP address. Port forwarding uses the same rules, so I have no idea what the difference is. Any help? Thanks!
Does this work with IPv6 or only IPv4?
Now does my pc have to be on all the time for friends just to play
I foresee many pc will be hacked cuz of this forwarding lol
How do I make my server appear on the list?
is there a way to make the server 24/7 ?
Is it possible to take the files from the dedicated server & transfer it to a hosted server without any issues? So for example if we have a dedicated server, but our friend is tired of running it, can we take that world & all of our characters and put it into a PingPerfect hosted server & resume?
Extremely out there question, I hosted on my main PC and moved the server to my back up PC. I have got the server matched and working but my character didn't survive the move. Is there another file that I could move that may contain the character profiles? I moved the entire "palserver" folder when I set it up
Hi, i play on a dedicated server with 1 friend, 40ms and 60 server fps. We found out some issues in game with friends. Items from inventory/box move into new box but donβt disappear from previous inventory/box. I can see some pal stuttering. 2 things i didn t have in other servers? Any idea where the problem could come be from the server part ?
its possible do that with a lan server using radmin/hamachi?
