Helldivers 2 matchmaking has been busted since the game released and despite the developers putting out hotfixes players are still receiving the Helldivers 2 failed to join game lobby error pop up so in this video we’re going through how to fix failed to join game lobby Helldivers 2 so you can actually play co-op with random players.
The developers have said they’re working on fixing quickplay for the Helldivers 2 matchmaking but it could take them a few more days so this is currently the best chance you have of playing Helldivers 2 co-op and hopefully the developers can put out full fixes for the issues soon.

Yep turning off cross play and throwing down a beacon and returning is the only thing that works for me
There is no "join" button when I hover over any group of people on any map at any difficulty. Just says elapsed time on surface or nothing at all.
The quickplay option doesn't appear for me
Guys I desperately need help, I’m playing on PS5 and I straight up can’t get into the hellpods because they binded the store page to the interact button. Everything works except for the hellpods, as whenever I try and interact with them it just brings me to the Acquisition page and doesn’t put me in the hellpod. I literally cannot go into any mission because of this, does anyone know how I can remap the interact button on the ship?
I have a bug where me (ps5) tries to join my friend (pc) and once hits the join button it just crashes him and disconnects my ps5 from the internet. It doesnt disconnect me from helldivers it straight up disconnect my playstation from the internet
Just get something to interupt you internet connection for a second, reconnect and back.
I turned off cross play as soon as I got it and so far it’s pretty much smooth sailing . Sometimes I have to hit quick play a few times but I’ve never not been able to find a match . I got my character up to level 11. So I put a decent amount of time into this game.

The workaround that works for me is, select a mission, get into pod, exit game, reopen game, select the same mission. I can do this with crossplay on.
The issue with the sos beacon method is that missions with multiple objectives will reset.
I regret buying this pos now. How csn you mess up the thing that is essential for the game

For everyone just keep pressing re-try by spamming X button for 10-15s and will let you in server.
As of 2day on PS5 still getting that failed to connect to servers and once joined and completed a mission i am not getting any XP and rewards, buggy hell!
Main problem at the moment is not getting any xp or rewards on mission completion,played 8 games yesterday and only got rewarded for 2 gave up after that. Plenty of other games to play till it’s fixed.

After the patch the strategems select/upgrade menu on my ship is blank. Can't change them now. Ps5

For ps5, automaton planets work a lot more often for me for whatever reason.
This is why I usually wait a month before purchasing a new game, can't trust any devs anymore. I genuinely regret buying this game, which is a shame because it really well done but it's obviously made with multiple players in mind and it's an absolute slog solo. Wish I could refund it.
As of right now as far as PSN since the patch, nothing has changed.
I accidentally found a potential temporary fix for PS5.
It works sometimes
Put your ps5 into rest mode, then wake it up. You will still be in the game and you should see a network error message. This is good, because the game will reconnect to the game servers.
You might consider this method if restarting your ps5 temporarily fixes connection issues for you, as this is just faster.

I'm getting about 1 in 20 attempts to join. The last way you suggest has been recipe for disaster. Having joined a few that way and each time something odd happens and we all get kicked. In one session everyone got into the same tube. Another patch
Turn off Crossplay and keep spamming quick play.
Just keep spamming quick play and you'll eventually connect

Amazing game. Nothing to complain here.
The fact that the game devs have openly admitted that they are monitoring gameplay In Real Time so they can either buff or nerf (and retardedly think it's a good thing to do so) aspects of the game, or just individual players, should be a 100% NO GO for everyone thinking of playing this game.
