I was browsing the other day over on the Curseforge app for a modpack that pretty much just utilized the Create mod in the 1.20 update, all in a Superflat world environment on Minecraft.
Little to my knowledge no such thing actually existed…

So I took it upon myself to go ahead and Create(get it) my very own modpack for me to play around on.

Once again, I’m gonna tackle the Superflat world challenge!

Wish me luck

You can check out the pack here if you’re interested;

Thanks for watching as always!

  1. Been really enjoying this series, wanted to comment before, but can't on my phone, so I've come on my pc to comment! Great stuff getting the flint factory refined! What's next on the agenda?

  2. One optimisation tip for you if you want the drill to mine cobble at the same speed as it grinds it into gravel (to prevent backlog on the cobble side), set the drill to mine at half the speed of the millstone

Since you have the millstone at 256 rpm, you can set your drill at 128 rpm and hopefully it should be good

And to make the generator smaller (and prevent cobble from dropping into that water hole), use a waterlogged leaf block

  3. A farmer's delight recipe that might be useful to know is for books, you can make paper with tree bark (using an axe on wood in a cutting board) and canvas with straw (using a knife on grass, wheat or rice)

  4. a few tips!
you can use stripped wood to get shafts, same crafting recipe. they can only be used as a shaft block, and not as a crafting ingredient but its still useful!
also you can make a large waterwheel with just 8 planks and one of your current wheels.
if you already find this out then sorry i havent finished the vid yet lol

  5. hey Dan, They might be an error in your pack(or an error in curseforge) because curseforge will not let me download it. It just gives me an error when it reaches above certain percentage.

  6. Before adding any more Waterwheels, or making bigger ones, you should start by maximizing those small ones you already have.
One good tip in Create, if you take a minute to stop and actually look at the thing you try to use, most of the tech stuff works just like IRL, and make total sense. Problem is most people don't take a minute to stop and look at it.
Or they think stuff works IRL cuz magic or something.

First of all, they are directional. If you pay close attention, you will notice the paddles are off-centered. Making them spin one way will give more power than making them spin the other. I THINK the one to the right of the waterfall was the right way, but feel free to test both just to make sure.

The other way to squeeze more power out of your small Waterwheel is to have more flowing water pushing it.

Imagine a vertical 3x3x1 hole carved in a wall, with a Waterwheel in the middle.
Place a block (or a slab, or trapdoor, something to stop water) in the upper-right corner.
Place water on top, it should flow to the left, giving the Waterwheel some oomph.
To the left, water will go down, giving the Waterwheel some MORE oomph.
At the bottom, it will flow to the right, giving same Waterwheel even MORE oomph.
Now if you had access to some, you could place a block of Soulsand in the bottom-right corner, and a water source just above, to the right of the Waterwheel, and the bubbles going up would give that wheel the max oomph it could get.

You can also get more power by stacking multiples Waterwheels on the same shaft right next to each other.
You just need to be careful you make all of them spin the same direction at the same speed, or things will break.

Also, you don't absolutely need Gearboxes to change axial direction, or Gearshifts to change rotational direction.
ALL of that can be done with regular gears, those aren't just there for boosting speed.

Every time you place 2 gears right next to each other, the rotational direction flips. So if at the end you are spinning the wrong way, you just need to add one small gear, and another small gear connecting to it, and your rotational direction will be flipped again.

As for changing your shaft's axis, imagine you start with a shaft on the X axis, and want one on the Z axis.
One block before that intersection, add a big gear at the end of the shaft on the X axis,
And one big gear at the end of the shaft on the Z axis.

  7. Dan you are doing great. Was curious why you didnt just buy the book for 50 instead of the sugarcane even though its needed lol. I am really enjoying the series and im going to try and do it differently so you dont copyright strike me lmao. The backpacks on mobs is great. My mob farm is ready for ep. 3 and even drowned for copper. Thinking a copper sword might be nice
Nice job getting the milk bucket. Maybe should have saved the milk incase a witch got you with a potion. GG
